Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Share your thoughts and observations on a mask you have tried, we need all the details, please! Most importantly - have fun!
January | Fresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings. |
February | Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC. |
March | March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please! |
April | Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights. |
May | Dew Drops - May Day lore says to wash your face in the dew you collect in the morning of the first day of May for radiant skin. This month is for absorbing all of that good-for-you H2O. |
June | Summer Sunshine - Ice cream, sunglasses, SPF, check! Once the sun is down (or before it's up), extra care is most necessary. How do you give your skin cooling repair? |

Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks💗
Welcome @FullCoverageBB, so excited that you decided to dip your toes into the water here :). I think it is wonderful and incredibly supportive of your family to join in on the masking. It sounds like they really care about you and are willing to try out new things to help you continue moving forward in life.
It is great that you picked up two of the Neutrogena. I believe those are two-piece masks, which might be extra helpful if you begin to feel uncomfortable. I love those, because it is nice to be able to remove the bottom part for eating/drinking.
Eye, hand or foot masks might be another way to just try out sheet masks gently. And don’t forget wash-off masks, or even hair masks. Lots to do while taking gentle care of you ❤️
@eshoe Thanks so much for the advice! I'm very excited ❤️
I am excited for you, @FullCoverageBB - and I hope that you share more along the way!
B for B:VID
Mask: | B:VID In & Out Facial Mask |
Material: | Thin bio-cellulose mask |
Adherence: | Great, as expected from a bio-cellulose mask |
Fit: | Good; some minor adjustments needed to the openings for the eyes, mouth and nose for a better, more tailored fit |
Essence / Serum: | Clear, slightly viscous serum infused in the mask that you can actually feel before applying it on the skin, which is not often the case with this mask material. |
Scent: | No scent that I could pick up |
Claim(s): | Exfoliating, hydrating and firming |
Other Noteworthy Qualities: | Instructions call for leaving the mask on until it has dried, which for me, ended up being close to an hour. Directions then suggest wetting the mask all over, with the idea being that this will show the areas of the face where the mask has sucked up excess sebum and dead skin from the skin. I initially was skeptical but it legitimately works! |
Results: | My skin felt lightly hydrated and bouncy after removing the mask, though there were also certain parts of my face that felt a little tight (more on that below). I also experienced some tingling along the lower part of my cheeks on both sides during the time I had on the mask. Earlier in the morning, I noticed a patch of dryness on my right cheek when I was trying to get my makeup to apply more smoothly in that area. The slight tightness I experienced was likely due to that area already being drier to begin with. What was amazing was that after using the mask, the noticeable dry patches were gone. |

This one sounds very interesting. My husband is all on board with trying it so I've put it on my list.
@itsfi Of course those BBW lippies are discontinued! I should've known better though because they're pretty notorious for that - especially with masks and lippies. Glad you were able to get them before they were gone!
The sheet mask sounds so interesting and so unique! Do you recall where you picked it up? Not that I need more masks or anything, but I haven't tried anything like it before, so it seems worth it 😅😃
@Shosh85, we really need work on B&BW having a more regular stock of sheet masks and lip balms / lip oils, even it they're seasonal. This once-they're-gone-they're-gone schtick is not working out for me. lol. As if satisfying our predilections are at the top of their goals. 😂
The sheet masks I picked up online at Olive Young Global. There was a storefront a couple of cities over but I never had the chance to check it out pre-pandemic and I don't even know if it's still around now. The site is legit and they tend to have sheet mask sales often. I've heard that this brand has a nose strip in this collection; based on how the sheet mask performed, that seems like it would be worth checking out!
Well, wow @itsfi. This is proof positive that reading the instructions is worth one’s time. What cool results, and bravo for hydrating a dry patch on your cheek; I bet your blush was happy!
@eshoe, hahaha! My skin has been really soft and smooth after using this one. Guess I'll keep reading instructions before opening the mask packet. 😂
@itsfi, thank you so much for your very detailed review!
You're welcome @FullCoverageBB! I'm never sure what or how much info folks want or don't want. It sometimes also depends on how tired I am too, how much mask info I post. Good to see you on this thread. Looking forward to the masking adventures you and your fam will have!
Some shimmery, shiny things for Sparkle Week:
The Leader’s has a pretty pearlescent shimmer, and dries after around 15-20 minutes depending on how thick of a layer I use. I have learned that more is better when it comes to this type of mask; it is much easier to remove in one piece this way. And no matter how carefully I apply it, this always happens to me:
It prompted my daughter to capture this photo, after which she found another one from a couple of years ago…
After having some fun peeling everything off, I reached for the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask. I have had good experiences with the Garnier hair masks, so why not give this one a try? This turned out to be a great decision.
This is a vegan mask that is bio-degradable/compostable and claims to hold nearly a full bottle of serum (which I find that most masks do at around 1 oz each). The scent on this one…unique. To me, it was pine mixed with milk. A peculiar blend, but thankfully, it wasn’t overpowering. As I removed the sheet, I did a little skip inside my heart for joy. The material was exactly like the soft Heimish pH 5.5 mask I love. And so much serum! Instructions state to use it for 15 minutes, but I left it on close to 45, as the fit and adherence were thoroughly enjoyable. After removing, my skin felt cool to the touch, with zero tack. It also appeared plumped, bonus!
There are a few others in this line, which I am very excited to try based on my experience with this one.
