Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@heartsmyface @lol at that but this looks really interesting ! Can’t wait for your report back!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

Hmmmm, tell me more about your polish, @heartsmyface

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@eshoe   Ha i was in the middle of applying it when I realized I had to leave these masks on.  It’s Missed Shift by Holo Taco.  Awesome it’s getting attention and it hasn’t even dried down completely!  It’s  hard to capture the shift but it goes from purple to navy to green.  Ignore the knuckle sticker (it’s not gonna last the night) but I think I got it!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

I noticed the knuckle patch and thought hmmmmmm I guess knuckles need love too, right @heartsmyface

Holo Taco. Love the name and holos are my favorite polishes. They seem to be easier to remove, which I also like. Ok gonna check that one out!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@eshoe @Hahah, I was running out of dry areas and they seemed the right size for knuckles.  They didn’t stay on my hands longer than two hours  cause I am incapable of sitting and doing nothing fb  but I have two very nice hydrated knuckles.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

Then hydrated knuckles it is, @heartsmyface!

I found this whole avoiding sleep. Not sure this would be any more comfortable than the stick on ones.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@heartsmyface, this is the Skin, Inc. liner I mentioned to you in a previous post. At one point, I thought I saw on their direct site, a set that included a pack of these liners and one of their serums. I've found other similar styles of mask liners but they don't seem to be available in (or for delivery to) North America.

Did you end up getting these, @eshoe

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

No, @itsfi, I did not. I am on a no-buy for the first half of the year. I thought I would challenge myself after failing miserably last year. But it’s something I may pick up,lunar some point, after noting others’ thoughts here!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@eshoe, you’re almost one-third of the way there. You can do it.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

Thank you, @itsfi. So far, so good. My list is going strong for July/August, though!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi  Hmmmm, I bet we can get them through White Rabbit Express if they’re available in Japan. we just need to find a store that carries them.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@heartsmyface, I'll send you screen shots of what the other mask liners look like and any brand info I can find. I remember one being available in Singapore; will check for ones from Japanese brands. 4 more sleeps until my February no buy is over and these Skin Inc. liners are one of the first things on my list to pick up. It'll be with notes/reward points so I'll feel even better about it. πŸ˜

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi  Is this them?  I wasn’t expecting them to be synthetic. I have half a mind to go buy some silk satin and figure out how to line my prΓ© existing  masks with it.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

Yes @heartsmyface! Those are the ones. I didn't realize they were made of synthetic material either. Grrr. Good catch.

That's so funny you brought up buying your own silk fabric and using it to line your masks. I was toying with the idea of picking up some fabric as well and making my own version of this liner.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi   It’s definitely looking like there’s a void in the market for silk liners.  Everything I’m

seeing is β€˜silky’ and synthetic or silk but with seams against the face.   I want the satin on the INSIDE of my mask and with none of the seams against my face.  I’m thinking French seams will hide nicely.  Am I asking a lot?  It appears so.  I’m going to make some patterns tonight and play with an old silk pillowcase and see what works.  Oh yes!!! Silk on the bias is definitely the answer!  It’s got the perfect amount of stretch!
D says we can take a trip to fabricland tomorrow and, lol, I don’t have to cut up the linens.  I’m all wanting to start NOW!   πŸ˜…

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@heartsmyface, is this something that might work for you? It looks like a Canadian based company.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi  Hey they’re local!  I’ve got my heart set on arts and crafts now so too late.  I got a little kick out of their washing instructions though!  Do not microwave.  That cannot be good for the elastic or the microwave.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

The arts and crafts will be fun @heartsmyface! 🀩 Keep us posted!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi   wow, you’ve done so well this month!!  not to be a little devil on your shoulder or anything but a device to protect your skin from friction and from getting raw hardly counts as a beauty purchase unless you plan to buy a few other items in the same transaction.  πŸ˜‰

I imagine going through your empties at the end of the month is going to be VERY satisfying knowing you didn’t bring anything in all month!  πŸ˜„

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@heartsmyface, completely agree! πŸ˜„ I would pull the trigger on the mask liners but as you said, there are a *few* things that I have in my cart that are not as functional as the mask liner. Heehee!

I'm so happy to have pushed these out the door and happier still that there are some unused items I am able to donate. I've also been setting aside a handful of other new and unused products, with the idea that if I don't reach for them by the end of summer, I'll donate those as well. It'll be very satisfying to know that the only things I've purchased this month is food. lol.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

β€œI” for I snubbed it, I loved it, and now It’s discontinuedπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Spoiler
The DearPacker Snow Lotus Honey Sheet Mask has been sitting in my drawer for awhile now. Not sure why; I loved the other one I tried last year). Inside I found a blush pink, gel-soaked mask with a single hard plastic mesh protective layer. It has a very subtle, sweet honey scent, and was chock-full of goopy serum. It fit well, no snipping necessary. I left it on around 30 minutes. My face felt and looked pleasantly plump, with only a little bit of remaining tackiness. I immediately went went to search my deleted emails to see where I purchased this, so I could add it to my buy again list...and it’s been discontinued. A reminder to use the masks I have, and don’t snub a possible love before it’s too late!

Thank you @ShortErica for this much-needed theme!
