This year is going to be a little different - simplified. Easy. Every month will have a new theme, and that's it. Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Most importantly - have fun!
March Madness - Competition is in the air. Find a worthy dupe of a ๐ฐmask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please!
January | Fresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings. |
February | Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC. |
March | March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please! |
April | Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights. |
May | Dew Drops - May Day lore says to wash your face in the dew you collect in the morning of the first day of May for radiant skin. This month is for absorbing all of that good-for-you H2O. |

Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
@staycalm Great idea with putting the mask in the fridge. I kee mine in the basement and they get quite cold ๐ฅถ. Putting them on can be awakening!
ohhh that sounds amazing!
I have never heard about the brand, but I wanna try it so bad!!๐๐
I love trying out new KBEAUTY products โค๏ธ
#peachandlillyglassskin mask, an AHA/BHA mask so exfoliating and resurfacing mask. It's on sale as part of a kit on their website usually 50$ but 18$ I grabbed it and I'm on 2nd week absolutely love it! Diminishes pore appearance, helps even skin tone, gives glass skin look pluuuuuus it doesn't burn or hurt sensitive skin! I've had compliments on my skin after only 1st use!
@britbrit12 ahhh this mask sounds incredibly soothing! How wonderful it must have felt to receive compliments after using it, too. It is on my to-try list.
And welcome to the thread, happy to have you here!
โ
@britbrit12, youโre talking about the pretty turquoise blue Super Reboot Resurfacing Mask, yes? I loooove that mask! ๐
i made time to mask this morning and did it thouroughly, starting with a nose strip to clear my pores. I love these Mens SoftyMo oneโs cause they stick really well and are large enough to wrap around the whole nose and the pores around it. and then I layered an eye mask under a whitening sheet mask. The Etude House brightening Eye Patch mask was soooo nice! It was coated in a creamy serum and stuck on very well. My skin under my eyes was noticeably brighter than the rest of my face afterward so these are on a potential repurchase list if it happens to be a product that still exists. The Sekkisei sheet mask felt a little dry but wasnโt too bad. It was falling off after about fifteen minutes so I just removed it. The fabric was on the thicker side with clear powder scented serum so that may have been a contributing issue. Itโs supposed to be whitening and hydrating. Hydrating yes, but the eye patches outshone any brightening I would have noticed without them.
โ
@heartsmyface yay to the eye patches, nay to the mediocre sheet mask๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ Plus, powder-scented serum soundsโฆnot my cup of tea!
@eshoe Sad cause I had high expectations for it. Yeah youโd definitely not enjoy it at all then.
@heartsmyface I have seen the brand online (at Costco!) and went back and forthโฆultimately back ๐ Sounds like a good thing.
@heartsmyface happy to hear you had time to pamper yourself!!
โcreamy serumโ @heartsmyface? Iโm in! ๐ Those Etude House eye patches just went up on my list; they sound perfect for winter dryness or dryness from springtime allergies!
Interesting about the Sekkisei sheet mask. I tried a different mask from the brand but had a similar experience, minus the powdery scent. I chalked it up to maybe it being closer to its expiration date but now Iโm wondering if their masks are just designed this way? ๐ค Have you used other sheet masks from the brand?
I would have to agree from my experience. Jbeauty mask sheets seem less full of serum. Not that they're dry but they not overly drenched in them. The material is thicker too. I found that to be the case with some I used when I was in Japan years ago and the ones I pick up here and there, mainly the more older brands. Some of the newer, more modern ones have more serum in the bag.
@elleb810 I havenโt really found that as a general trend with Japanese masks. Which brands have you tried that were on the drier side?
Saborino; Barrier Repair,
@itsfi They must be just a drier mask cause I think I experienced this before. I have another of this same one thatโll get used up today. I havenโt tried any other sheet mask versions but I do enjoy their Essential Soufflรฉ on my neck and chest for when it gets humid though not on my face. Itโs hydrating but at the same time feels as though itโs absorbing sweaty moisture? The scent is too strong for my face though- pleasant but strong. Itโs very similar to that of nivea hand cream.
The Etude House was a real pleaser. If you can get your hands on it DO!
We're so behind on posting. I'll try to put them all together in one post. I am sorry for the long post.
From last month, F for Frudia and fruit, G for grape and targeted masking - the mask is said to minimize appearance of pores, tighten skin, and improve skin texture. Lots of watery essence but not drippy.
HE SAID: The scent is so much better on this one than that other one we used. This smells like grape candy. I like grape candy. My face felt moist but I'm not sure about my pores - my wife said they look smaller.
SHE SAID: Sweet, grape candy smell, maybe grape Jolly Rancher. Skin felt soft, smooth and looked a little brighter, more awake. My husband's pores on his nose looked smaller.
Your 'he said, she said' mask sheet reviews are awesome! LOOOOOVVE. Also, love that your husband masks so frequently with you. Mine will occasionally but he just shrugs when I ask him for his thoughts on a mask. lol.
@missy94612 I know I have said this before, but I just love your โHe said/She saidโ posts! The Frudia one with its Jolly Rancher scent sounds especially appealing ๐
@missy94612 I really feel like the purple frudia mask you guys used had to be compromised in some way because when I used it, it smelled divine!! Great reviews on these
@missy94612 Anything that smells like grape gets immediate approval from me:D
