Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@fieldsofclover I was a bit confused by this Korres brand, we dont have it in Canada, i think we might have years ago. I had to take one of my handbags out of their sleeping bags (re dust covers lol) to check the spelling of Michael KORS lmao 😃 just to make sure

No breakout, so that's already better than usual! I wasn't blown away or anything but I am going to at least use up the tube now.

I'm not oily anymore but I think my skin is just always too busy purging at night to work well with sleeping masks or creams... I seem to do better with night oils in general. There might eventually be a bottle of Luna or Flora in my future, or the Korres black pine sleeping oil.

Have you tried the Clinique moisture surge overnight? Sometimes I just use it as a moisturizer if my skin is super mad at me and I’ve never had any clogged pores as a result. @fieldsofclover

I am also extremely prone to clogged pores; if the Korres doesn't work, give Julep Night Shift a try. I can use it multiple times a week without issues.

I have oily acne prone skin and i love the korres rose sleeping facial and the julep night shift mask! Never have a problem with breakouts the night day. Love them

This week I used Babyfacial.  I like the lightweight application and easy removal.  I washed my face with Beste and then applied Lala/Protini.  My face feels clean and smooth and my skin looks good.  🙂

Last day of multimasking:

1. Dermaplaning 

2. Clinique pore refining solutions charcoal mask - I love this charcoal mask. It doesn’t dry the skin out and it works very quickly. I typically only need to leave it on for 10 min before it’s completely dry. Also, obviously, it does a great job of cleaning out pores!

3. Herbivore brighten glow mask - I LOVE this mask and it’s maybe even better than the blue tansy. I don’t necessarily feel like it brightens, but it makes me skin feel super lifted and contoured. Big fan!

Herbivore pineapple mask??!  I'm going to have to pick this mask up once I decide whether to get their jade roller or the rose quartz one.

@itsfi @fieldsofclover I have the Jade roller. I got it direct from Herbivore and it arrived broken. It took about 4 weeks to arrive to Canada, but also took them ages to deliver. Customer service was great and gave me a full refund. Luckily I got given a Jade Roller over Christmas so win win! I don't think the Rose Quartz roller is worth another $20 dollars, but I use the Jade roller with eye cream, serums and sheet masks and LOVE it!

Good to know about returns with Herbivore direct - thank you for sharing your experience. Sorry yours arrived broken but that's awesome that you received one for Christmas.

Sheet masks - that's the reason I was eyeing the jade roller.  Was also weighing whether to get the roller or the gua sha, but leaned for the jade roller because that seemed like it would be more gentle on the face. I hadn't thought of using it with eye creams or serums but that's a great idea.

@itsfi  hehe I was having the same debate... I want a rose quartz one (no wait jade! rats, can't decide) but I really hope Sephora carries them eventually. It looked like they have QA issues sometimes and I'd rather do a return/exchange with Sephora than Herbivore direct if I got a bad one.

I know, right?! At one point, I had both of the jade and the rose quartz rollers in my cart. lol. I know that would not be a wise decision. I've ordered the oil set from Herbivore direct; those were fine so I didn't have any experience with returns but I hear ya - I'd prefer to return/exchange with Sephora. Would love if Sephora carried the rollers - in store, preferably, so I could see them in person, though that might actually make it harder for me to pick just one. 😉  The debate continues...

I've been following you lovelies on this thread and trying to keep up at home with the masking schedule but haven't gotten around to posting - last month was rough, but it's over and now on to more fun pursuits, like masking. 🙂  I may have combined this and next weeks' challenges last night.
