Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

I’m sorry that both masks were a bit disappointing @itsfi ! I’ve tried a few products from Dr.Brandt and all of them were disappointing!

It’s alright @keana1. It wasn’t all a loss - the Caudalie mask was fine; and now I know the Dr. Brandt isn’t for me and I won’t pick up a FS. 😊

I’m glad that you only had a DS size @itsfi ! I just read the ingredients list of the Caudalie mask that you used, I think it might be too drying for my very dry winter skin! I’m still searching for the right clay mask! The one I currently use has been discontinued, bummer!

@keana1, it’s a challenge to find a clay mask for dry skin in the winter that is not too drying. The Caudalie Detox Mask works better for me in the summer.

It’s quite challenging @itsfi ! It’s almost exhausting LOL 😂! I’ll eventually find one ! I just have to be looking for THE ONE !

Oooh, let me know when you find the one, @keana1! My favorite detox mask at the moment is Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask 5 oz for all over. I’m planning on trying a detox mask tonight so we’ll see. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 it’s a good one! 😉

I’ll let you know for sure @itsfi ! I forgot that I have a small tube of the PTR Irish Moor Mask! Thanks for reminding me by tagging it ! I have to retry it, I think that I tried it last summer so I don’t even remember if I enjoyed it or not! 🤗

@keana1 I like that the PTR mud mask does not dry down and harden. That’s a huge plus for my dehydrated-dry skin.

@veronika23, I have some sensitivities to scent so I try to comment on that so that others know, just in case. It’s not an enjoyable experience when a scent doesn’t agree with you and you have to have it on your face. 😣

@itsfi I have that same little size tube of the Dr. Brant Sleeping Mask, and I agree, not bad per se, just nothin' special. 

That Caudalie Detox mask along with the moisturing one is on my list of future things to buy – I've been "trying" to take it easy with certain purchases. (We'll see how that goes. Ha!😉)  That's a great idea to wash it off a little sooner though! 👌

@Shosh85, agree, the Dr Brandt sleeping mask is just okay for dry or dehydrated skin. I try to wash off detox masks that dry down before that happens - otherwise my skin gets very unhappy. 😕

Last night used I tried the BOSCIA - Exfoliating Peel Gel. I havent tried this type of exfoliating yet but when we got a sample from Sephora for my daughter, it intrigued me. Then I came across this DS so I thought I'd give it a shot. Interesting way to exfoliate. Left my face feeling soft. Will def try it again. Then I went for the Detox mask. I like the way this fit and had lots of serum. I left it on for 20 mins and patted in the excess. It didnt take long for it to absorb. Would def try it again. I like the way it left my face feeling. As far as my pores, I never notice these things so I cant really review on that part. Followed up with the GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Sleep Set since I also got it to try. Wanted to lock in any moisture and see how this mask felt. I like the consistency and was easy to sleep with. It didn't feel tacky before bed. And of course the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C Original

I love the way my skin felt this morning after my am wash. Felt very soft.

A great trio of masks @GalPalVal17 ! Love the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask, the Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel and the GR Avocado Melt! What’s your skin type? Oily, dry etc... I want to know if the Facetory Detox Mask would be good for dry/very dry skin?
