Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@eshoe  Stale popcorn and bug spray? 🤔 I'm thinking that would be something I'd pass on! Definitely not my ideal scents! Haha! Sorry to hear this one was a bummer. 😢

I just ordered my second promo of the Avocado Melt, 'cause I'm just guessing I'll love it, and want to stock up on the freebie while I can! Can't wait to read your review on the comparisons! I'm planning on doing the same thing as well! 🙌🤗👍

I was going to ask if you picked up that promo in your post about the YTTP but I figured you probably did😄 I’m thinking of picking up a second one as well, I just don’t need

anything right now. And I can’t think of anything I want bad enough to break my low buy 😉

Also - yikes on the masking. Scents are such a dealbreaker sometimes! Sorry to hear it didn’t go too well... the dreaded F- rating 😰

@cianni not only the scents, but why on earth add dye? Oh well, the good part is that tonight's masking can only be a step up from last night's 🙂

@eshoe LOL that’s exactly why I always stayed away from the Glamglow x My Little Pony ones. I could be into a little bit of the gimmicky aspect (especially when it was half price), but apparently the purple and pink tended to stain and the glitter wouldn’t come off. Who asked for that???? 😂

@cianni @eshoe I almost picked up the Too Faced "Glow Job" from TJ Maxx, but quickly changed my mind and set it down! Haha! Not only because of the glitter in it, but also 'cause I just hate the name! Haha! 😂

I avoid products with names like that, @Shosh85, I think @cianni has mentioned it as well (the suggestive names companies use🙄 It’s just so annoying!

The good thing is that is really the first truly unpleasant mask I've used, @lmaster 😉 The 23years was scary but nothing like compounding the awfulness!

@eshoe  That DAF mask sounds like one to definitely avoid, from the smells and the pink residue,  yuck!!!🤭😠 The Avocado Melt is really nice, but I wanted to use it several times before I gave my opinion. I love how it smells because it reminds me of a Green Tea cream I loved by Perlier. You can't get it anymore, so I'd love to use the Glow Recipe Avocado as a body cream!!😉 Maybe they should think of coming out with a body cream!! Thanks for the heads up on a bad mask!! Sorry you had to deal with the results!!😟

Thank you @itsfi, the packaging on sheet masks is always good for inspiration for me😊 

It’s really odd with the 3-part masks, how one or more (but rarely all) parts seem unnecessary as they don’t add to the masking experience. Only one has made a good impression on me for all 3, the Julep one. I have a backlog of 3-steppers that might be enough to fill up my unloved masks week😆
