Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@itsfi  Thanks for the review on the eye masks. Was looking forward to it. Also happy to hear they are a keeper. A complete eye masking sounds interesting and would def try if I came across them.

They’re really good @GalPalVal17! 💖 I’m so surprised how much I like them! I forget which site I picked them up from but they’re available at dermstore(dot)com, skinstore(dot)com and directly through the DHC website. I don’t know about DHC but the first two sites have sales throughout the year. If you end up trying them, I’d love to know what you think.

@itsfi Love this masking session! I am so far reeeally loving that Herbivore Glow Oil! It is just so soothing on my dry skin!

The Orgaid mask sounds wonderful and the ingredients look great! It's always good to know which masks are scentless! – Sometimes even the "signature sheet mask" (😂) can be too much for people with certain sensitivities. 👍😉

@Shosh85, I’m still in the early stages of using the Emerald Oil, but so far, it’s really good!! 😃 I tried it by itself and with different moisturizers and my skin has responded well to it. It really does provide deep moisture and  glow! 💚

Sounds like you had a great masking session @itsfi ! The eye patches are quite interesting! I’ve never tried ones that cover the eyelids! Love the ingredients list of the Orgaid mask and that it doesn’t smell at all! How do you feel about the Emerald oil?

I really liked these masks @keana1; 😃 really surprised by the DHC eye masks. The Orgaid masks are good all around! So far, I’m liking the Herbivore Emerald Oil. I’ve been using it 1-2 times per week for the last couple of weeks. Texture-wise, I’d say it’s between a traditional oil and a dry oil - it doesn’t have the slip like traditional oils but it’s not a dry oil either. I think its name is apropos too - deep moisturizing glow - the other day, I put it on after using the liquid exfoliKate, without a moisturizer and my skin felt perfectly moisturized. It also imparts a dewiness to the skin as well.

Sounds like a great oil to have @itsfi ! I hope that it becomes available in Canada! In the meantime, I’m loving the Tatcha Gold Camellia oil and the oil blend that you sent me! 😘 I can’t get up and look at the bottle of the oil blend, Kauai is sleeping on my lap ! 🐾

@keana1 the Balance Me Radiance Oil is a nice one. I really like that brand - they’re products are clean, have good ingredients and work well. The downside is that they’re not readily available, but there’s always good ol’ online shopping! 😆

The Balance Me Radiance Oil just sinks into my skin @itsfi and doesn’t feel oily at all, I really enjoy using it! I did search it online and found it, I just don’t remember where ? Once I finish the bottle that you sent me, I’ll order it! I just have to google it again! No problem! 🤗

@itsfi I've yet to try eye masks that cover your eyes. you make these sound amazing, now maybe I won't be so hesitant.

@lmaster, I usually do not like masks to cover my eyelids at all, but the combination of the thinner piece on the eyelids and the fact that the masks are not at all drenched in serum help a lot. It still takes some getting used to but it’s not as uncomfortable as I feared.

Oooh @itsfi the Orgaid sounds SO good! For some reason I think I saw those while browsing Anthropologie’s site recently, maybe I just saw another one you tried😉 Love the ingredients, I am going to look for this one again. Also, that case for the DHC masks is really cool🤩

@eshoe I think I recall Anthropologie carrying the Orgaid sheet masks for a period of time. I don’t know if they still carry it. You can find them online at Bloomingdale’s, Dermstore and directly from the brand.

The case for those DHC eye masks makes it really nice for traveling. 👍🏼
