Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

The nail mask is a lot of fun @Shosh85 I wouldn't say it's a must have but it is a nice indulgence every now and again. I've been using the Sunday Riley Saturn Mask as a spot treatment and it's worked out really well. I can see that if would be a good all over mask for anyone with acne prone skin.

@itsfi The Katie Somerville Age Arrest Hydrating Firming mask sounds great! I just read the ingredients list and seems to be promising but in the long run!

I agree @keana1. The next time I use it, I'll try it the other way - leaving it on for 5 minutes, tissue off and then massage the remaining mask into the skin. It'll be interesting to see what, if any, differences there are in the end results.

That Kate Somerville sounds like a very nice mask, @itsfi. Since it’s a new one for you, curious what prompted you to plunge for a FS-that’s daring 😂 The le mini macaron is so cute, it was a surprise and gave me a smile to notice you picked up another! I have a few stashed away for stocking stuffers for my nieces, too🎄

@eshoe, the FS Kate Somerville mask was a gift from a while ago that I finally got around to using. I generally wouldn’t purchase a full size without having first tried a sample.

This is my 3rd one @Mcakes! I can’t remember how I first learned of it, maybe a subscription box, and then @eshoe kindly gifted me one and then I just had to get another one. If only I had an actual ice cream cone 🍦 to go with it - that would be perfection! 😃

Here's my recap of masks from this week! 

THURSDAY

I had exfoliated a bit too much and my skin was red 😔 Thankfully the mask @itsfi
sent me saved the day! The mask itself was actually green! It fit nicely and had a ton of essence leftover to use. After 25 minutes, it started to peel off on its own, so I removed it. My skin was noticeably less red. Most of the redness that remained was where I had blemishes. The next morning, I could tell that even my blemishes were less noticeable. It didn't smell like anything and I loved that it had witch hazel and tee trea oil in it 😊 I would definitely try this one again!

I decided to follow up on the tee tree masking by using this Leaders mask. I left it on for about 25 minutes as well (I watch tv while masking, so they last the length of an episode 😏). I really liked the material of the mask. It felt light and stuck to my face well. There was also a lot of essence in the mask itself. It was dripping down my chin a little haha. You can say my neck got quite the treatment as well. I do feel like it helped with oil control since my face didn't really feel oily today and my skin looks better redness and blemish wise. Not too sure I helped with my pores, but I have a lot of trouble finding treatments that work for mine 😬

SATURDAY (Today)

I tried out one of the creme shop eye masks this morning and picked the caffeine one since it seemed fitting. I love the design of it. It's so pretty. I don't normally post pictures of masks because most are nightmare inducing, but this one looked lovely. It also smelled like chocolate and raspberries! I wasn't sure if I was just smelling the actual raspberries, but no. It was the mask! It made me want chocolate & raspberry crêpes sont bad. I also liked that it was big enough to cover my forehead and cheeks! Best part though, I could still eat and drink with it on which is usually a challenge. Overall, it did seem to depuff my undereyes. They still look pretty good this late at night, so I'm impressed. I couldn't really tell a difference for dark circles though. Overall, I really enjoyed this mask. It's perfect for the morning.

 
I also used the DE Babyfacial tonight. The name is so accurate. My skin has never felt this soft before  😍 I can't stop touching it even though I shouldn't. I would use this everyday if I could (don't worry, I won't. I don't want to ruin my skin). I'm following it it up with the DE Marula Oil as per recommended.
