Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Timing those masks together reminds me of trying making dinner and determining when to throw the veggies into the oven so they finish the same time as the main dish,@itsfi!

Yes, my experience was too little clay mask in the packet both times I used it. I do have another, so I will try it again soon to see if I get as lucky as you😉

That is a long time to wait on the nail mask, I imagine a nice soak would be just as effective and take only 1/3 of the time! Good info to know, though-thank you:)

That is a great analogy, @eshoe! I just assumed the nail mask should be kept on for 10-15 minutes, so thankfully I looked at it again before starting my masking and was able to adjust my sheet mask time. My  commute takes less time than the suggested time for those nail masks! 😂 

Yeah, I still have a lot of product in the packets for the first and last steps and I was not skimping when I used them for my masking - how weird!

I’ve been masking but too busy to post pictures or reviews - sorry guys! It’s going to be a busy Fall for me but just know that I’m masking away and reading all your thoughts 🤗

But, here is last nights masking which requires ZERO introduction and could be the most influential and amazing products I’ve learned about while participating in this thread... drumroll.... DE Babyfacial and Creme Shop Fusion! Wow, literally no one is surprised - hah 🙃 I’ve reviewed these a million times so I won’t bore you. But seriously, you all have made my skin so much better with your reviews and recommendations. Plus, most importantly, the community and comradery we all have. It must be a great thing when I miss chatting with internet friends, right? 😁 ❤️

I second that, @scott1201! It’s hard to find a mask that stacks up to everything the DE Babyfacial is. AND like you, my skin is in a better place thanks to the collective input here. Your posts always find humor in the whole masking process, which I 💗 reading😊 thanks for sharing!

Primary Raw DoYou 2-Step Milk Peeling kit

It has been a while since @Anonymous originally posted about the Primary Raw DoYou 2-step Milk Peeling kit but I thought it looked really interesting. It has an AHA exfoliating swab that you wipe across your face and then pat in for 10 seconds, and follow with a soothing soy-milk infused sheet mask for 20 minutes. I ran into a small snag with the directions when UPS rang my doorbell for a signature as I was patting in the exfoliating solution so I waited a little longer than I should have before applying the sheet mask but it didn’t seem to have caused any harm. The exfoliating swab was lightly tingly for me but not bad at all. The sheet mask was absolutely delightful - soothing is exactly the right word for it. I didn’t want to take it off! Sadly, it does seem better suited for winter and cold, dry weather because after removing the mask my skin felt sticky even after about half an hour and I ended up wiping my face with a damp cloth to remove the excess essence. Regardless, I will be repurchasing this one. My skin is definitely glowing and dewy and that sheet mask felt lovely.

@Alphaboo, I've used this mask a couple of times before and have liked the results I've gotten. Will be interesting to see whether it performs better in the winter months.

This is a cool mask, @Alphaboo! I’ve tried one similar to this but wasn’t amazed, so I will have to look into this one. Because I need more masks, really😂

This afternoon I was able to try the fresh Vitamin Nectar Vitamin C Glow Powder, courtesy of Sephora. I have been curious about this mask ever since I saw it on this thread (wish I could recall who!), so I was pretty excited!Single-use packets-would be perfect for traveling.

Both packets poured into the mortar.

1 tsp. filtered water added and mixed.

This is a 30-second foaming facial which aims to “refine skin texture and reduce the look of pores for a healthy, youthful glow.” The instructions are pretty simple, mix both packets with a teaspoon water and apply to face for 15-30 seconds. I expected a thicker consistency, a foam or even a runny clay-like texture to emerge, but it was pretty runny. And messy! Definitely need to do this one standing over the sink.

Given that I’m used to an hour or so masking at night, this seems a bit abbreviated! I cheated and left it on for 45 seconds. It had a very pleasant orange-cream scent, would love to see this in a mask that can be left on longer, too. After rinsing with water and drying with a muslin cloth, I inspected my skin close-up and from a distance in the mirror. It did seem a bit brighter, and definitely not as dull as it had been prior to the mask. However, there was no difference in how my pores looked. 

I will need to give this a few more tries, but off the bat think this would be an awesome mask for travelers who are short on time, want a little refresher, as well as something TSA-friendly. Can’t wait to mask with it again!
