Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

I think I held off from trying it because I had the impression it was not for oily skin, like all the DE products were not for oily skin,,,oooo how wrong was I!! @itsfi and @eshoe thank goodness I received a nice size sample in allure this month, otherwise I would of never known the great benefits this has for my personal skin type!! love it!

@lmaster, I couldn’t agree more! So much 💗 for this product. The first time I tried this was as a sample in-store, after I asked for a bit to take home. The Sephora associate brought back a sample of the Drunk Elephant Mini Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil 0.5 oz/ 15 mLwith it, and explained to me it works best in tandem. I was pretty impressed and felt she must really believe in the efficacy of it to bring me an unrequested sample of a rather pricey oil😆. It is the best.

Yaaay!  Happy to hear that the DE Babyfacial worked out for you. I can't even remember why I held off on trying it for as long as I did. My skin loves it and I'm glad yours does too! 🙂

@itsfi I'm stil waiting to use that Boscia mask! Happy to hear it worked well for you! Comparing this one with the newer one is an awesome idea! Can't wait to hear what you find out when you get around to it! It may just be me, but I feel like I'd like a two-piece mask better, just because it's easier to make fit right 😉

It's not just you - I'm partial to 2-piece masks for the same reason - more likely to get a better fit and easier to make adjustments. The one thing about hydrogels for me is that they have a tendency to be slippery, especially the upper lip and chin areas. This one wasn't bad at all; some slip with the upper lip, but it was resolved pretty quickly and easily. The new one-piece is a bio-cellulose one so we shall see. I did a comparison of the new and old boscia Tsubaki sheet masks and ended up liking the new one as well so keeping my fingers crossed that I'll like the new formula of this flavor as well.

@itsfi I just used the DE yesterday for the first time, I feel like it really helped my blemish I've been complaining about 😂 after I washed it off, it was not as big and somewhat dried out, but my actual skin was wonderful! great product

In terms of all-around jjust good skincare, @lmaster, I don’t think you will find anything better than Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial™ AHA + BHA Mask 1.69 oz/ 50 mL. It’s the best.

The honey masks sound great, I’m really hoping we’ll get them north of the boarder 🤞🏻 It was a great idea to ensure your skin was prepped for the flight, great preventive action so you don’t have to face super dehydrated skin later 😄

 Okay im not losing my mind!!!! I went into two Sephoras looking for the Honey eye masks and they didnt have them. Why cant we have Honey up in Canada? Maple Syrup eye mask? 😃

@bakeamuffin  Nice masking session!! I really love the Briogeo mask and I rank it right up there with the Olaplex!! The Dennis Gross pads are a favorite of several on this thread and it seems the Fresh Rose mask is also at the top of their list!! I haven't tried the Fresh mask because rose scent is not a favorite of mine!  I'm glad you had great results!!😊

@bakeamuffin Great masking!! I agree that FRESH Rose Mask is very refreshing! I usually wait til I can get a sample of it! It seems that FRESH samples always pop up somewhere!

I finally just ordered the small size of the Briogeo mask – I'm excited to try it! I'd like to see how it compares to the AMIKA masks I've been using! So happy to hear you like it! 👍
