Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Oh I’m very happy to hear that, @itsfi! I loved the Algenist. We’ll see how it works over the next week or so. Glad to know of a similar product just in case this one doesn’t work out😉

agree @itsfi on the foot masks., but if you can find them try spa life walnut exfoliating something... (I'm not at home to look at them) they're pretty good & different. you have to rinse off the exfoliating serum.

I was reminded of an unloved mask on the empties thread, so last night I decided to try the ElishaCoy (I did not even realize I had this brand in my stash, I just recognized the package).Ren, Bkr, ElishaCoy, Glow Recipe

I squeezed every last bit of my REN Evercalm DS into a mask and ordered a FS before the sale ended last night. This mask is not as exciting (no exfoliating beads! No bubbling!) or scented as I prefer, but my skin loves and appreciates it. Plus it’s an easy no-brainer mask for when I haven’t planned out my nightly masking (I am REALLY excited for the Perricone Cocoa Mask to arrive!!).

I remember ordering the ElishaCoy online awhile ago, but I didn’t notice the brand until I took it out to try last night. ( @sonnydee I think you just picked some up? Curious what you think of them when you try them out!). This was a decent mask, I think I paid not more than $1.50, and at that price, it did what it should. The scent was fine, clean and faded quickly, the fit was decent, although the chin refused to stay put (this has been a common issue on the last few masks I’ve used. Maybe it’s just me🤷🏻‍♀️).

I left it on 15 minutes, applied my essence and moisturizer (still need to get some of those Shiseido cotton pads as everything I have tried leaves cotton all over my face) and then the Glow Recipe Sleeping Mask. I always forget to use this as it’s in my skincare cubby under the sink, with various cleansers and samples. Having tried the Laneige so recently, I wanted to compare the two. When I use it as a sleeping mask, it usually peels on my face and is a mess in the morning. I applied a much thicker layer than usual and hoped for some exciting results in the morning 😆

I made the assumption before that the peeling was a type of exfoliation, but now I think it’s just the actual mask product. Not a huge deal, but I had some tiny little blemishes on my face as well, when my skin is normally clear. I wouldn’t buy it again, but it’s such a yummy-scented mask that I will figure out how to finish my jar one way or another!

@eshoe sorry you were getting pilling from that mask, I don't really care for that one personally. for 1.50 hey that's a good price so, like you said, it did what it should 😄 I'm going to have to search tonight for my forgotten masks lol

Nice masking!  I recently purchased the Glow overnight mask and noticed it left me with a few whiteheads in the morning.  I'll try it a few more times to be sure that it is the culprit, and if so, i'll sadly have to return it or give it away.  😕

Hopefully you bought the smaller jar, @rockstargina@-this stuff lasts and lasts! I’ve used it as a mask at night and left it on for 15 minutes as well. It’s nice for the scent at least;)

Good thing, @rockstargina. I bought my sister the small jar last year and didn’t hear a peep...guessing it wasn’t her cup of tea, either! Wondering if it could be some sort of foot sleeping mask, with some socks on at nighttime?

@eshoe I have used some Elisha Coy makeup but had I had no idea there is sheet masks too! A "decent" mask is better than a crappy one! Haha!😂

Cant wait for you to try the Perricone Cocoa Mask!! It is just sooo good!🙌😍

I’m so sad @Shosh85 the Perricone MD Cocoa Mask isn’t available at Sephora Canada 😢 ! I keep checking the app and nothing yet... It sounds great and probably smells even better!

@eshoe, this reminds me that I have (or think I have) and ElishaCoy sheet mask as well ... How are you liking the bkr balm? I don't *need* another lip balm, but I thought I should ask since I'm sure that I'll eventually pick up more lip balms to add to my already sizeable supply. LOL! A gal can't have too many lip balms, right?! Especially with winter approaching! Ha! 😉

I love the Bkr balm, @itsfi! It’s very similar to the Laneige & Tatcha Kissu Lip masks. Lasts forever (or at least all night😉). I agree wholeheartedly, lip balms are right up there with masks for me:)
