Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

Thanks, @Shosh85! The bliss was such a great suggestion, I really appreciate it😊
Forgotten wonders … @eshoe mentioned that I probably wouldn’t have any problems keeping in line with this week’s theme of forgotten wonders. She’s right – as a surprise to probably no one on this thread, I seem to have quite a few sheet masks that I haven’t gotten around to; definitely a handful of forgotten wonders. Ooopsy. That’s the problem when there are so many sheet masks to try (and many of them recommended by all you lovelies) and only one face. Sigh. Here are my forgotten wonders from Monday – a couple of masks that I’ve used before and just haven’t gotten around to using them again and some masks I purchased with every intention of trying out right away but got distracted by other sheet masks (that happens all too frequently – LOL!)
AM
PM
The evening masking lineup consisted of a charcoal theme courtesy of The Crème Shop. Just when I think I’ve used up all of The Crème Shop masks I’ve purchased, I find these. Let’s see just how much of a wonder these forgotten masks really are...
I was initially intrigued by The Crème Shop I wish for black magic ultra detox + purifying sheet mask because it is a charcoal hydrogel mask; prior to purchasing this one, I had not seen that combination before. It’s cool and refreshing to have this mask on and while it was doing its thing, I decided to send some my footsies some TLC in the form of The Crème Shop Detoxifying Charcoal Foot Mask. On these puppies went. Let me just get out of the way that these foot masks did not contain tabs to tighten and secure the foot mask. A bit of a bummer but if anything, this thread has taught me to be resourceful, so I pulled a pair of socks over the foot masks and spent the next 20 minutes doing some chores and catching up on BIC – you can bet that 20 minutes flew by. I’ve missed y’all very much and am (very) slowly catching up on various threads.
lovely masking @itsfi You have inspired me to pull out my boscia pore pudding mask soon! I haven't used it in a while but it always does a good job
Thank you @Kim888! The boscia mask does a good job; I need to remember to use it more often!
The Sephora Collection foot masks are fantastic @GalPalVal17! I highly recommend them. 👍🏼 There’s currently a limited, holiday edition available in the almond “flavor” - with stars on the outside of the mask. The regular version comes in lavender or almond. It would make for a fun mom-daughter masking time! 😃 If you end up picking a set or two up, do let us know how they worked out!
@itsfi I love this color coded picture! Haha! Those are two Creme Shop Masks I have not used yet! The Sephora Foot Masks are definitely the best I've tried so far! I've tried ones that don't have straps/tabs, and depending on the bootie and how loose it is I will usually either wrap a hair scrunchy (not too tight, of course) around the ankle of the mask, then put socks on, then slippers. Or, sometimes I use something like a hair clip or bag clip to hold it together, then socks and slippers. Whatever works, haha! It's always fun to hear what others do to make it work!👍😂
Sounds like the face mask was successful!! I'm usually weary of Charcoal products because they tend to dry me out, but this one sounds great! I love those hydrogels too!
I really like using that GlamGlow as a spot treatment as well!! Definitely helps to dry out those pesky blemishes!
Great masking sessions!! 👌🤗
Slippers are a great idea @Shosh85! I’m going to remember the bag clip. In a pinch, I’ve used a paper clip or one of those binder clips. 😂
@lmaster, oh the many little lessons we learn on our masking journey! LOL! I feel like I've had so many "well, why didn't I think to do that?!" moments when it comes to masking. 😉
Well, at least I am learning lol ha! @itsfi 😂
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen those there too, @sonnydee, but have never thought of trying them. I will keep my eyes out for you 😉
@sonnydee I'm pretty sure I've seen these at my TJ Maxx too.... I'll have to pick some up the next time I go if they're still there!! They sound great! 👍
Nice masking! I just bought the Boscia mask at TJ Maxx yesterday for $12! I also love the belif mosturizer for AM!
Thanks for your reviews and I'll be looking for those creme shop masks!
Thank you @rockstargina! That's such a great deal you found at TJ Maxx! The belif moisturizer is so good! What moisturizer do you use for your evening moisturizer?
I use the IT COSMETICS - Confidence in a Cream™ Transforming Moisturizing Super Cream
Your AM masking sounds absolutely lovely, @itsfi! I’ve never heard of Blithe before, and both products you mentioned sound very interesting. I most definitely do not need any new
products on rotation but I am going to take a peek at these😉
@eshoe, the Blithe essence is one of my faves. At first, I wondered how hydrating it would be but I read that the one for lifting is actually the more hydrating one. The essence is thicker than what I normally associate with essences. I use it for the 7-skin method and find my skin feels softer, more plump and hydrated.
Is it in anyway like the Algenist Liquid Collagen, @itsfi? I just tried that this morning and it has little (Collagen?) bubbles that sound similar to what you are using.
Yes, very similar @eshoe! They're like little microbeads of hydration goodness! 🙂
