Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@itsfi  Haha! Thanks! 😉 I think the trick is just trying to do it as fast as you can! Ha!

@Shosh85  I love it!! You're second round looks way smoother on the side by side!  Did you use up all of the mask that you'd mixed?  I felt like I was globbing it on so thick in such big spoonfuls (?stick fulls?).  Did the white version have a cooling sensation too?

@missjeanie I didn't use it all, but pretty close! I realized the last time it was so lumpy was because it started setting up while I was still trying to spread – this time I mixed it up a little faster so I had more time for spreading. Still very drippy and gooey though. Haha! 😂

This one felt cool only at first, nothing like what you described with yours. 

I have to say though, this one's starting to grow on me. 😉

@Shosh85 Thats pretty much what happened tome.  The first stuff that I put on was a bit drippy but looked smooth, it was what I tried to touch up with all the left overs that started to get "clumpy". I feel like theres a sweet spot of time with this one. 

I really didn't mind this mask.  It wouldn't be something to use overnight (I just don't have that kind of time) but I liked it.

@veronika23 I have 2? more of these, so I'll be trying again soon! It's a good way to use them up! Ha! My OCD's and perfectionism can't handle lumpiness! 😂

Mrs. Doubtfire is a classic! I still have the VHS of it! 📼 😂

It might have too much of a flowery scent for me @veronika23 , but the Overtime Mask smells great ! A mini trio would be great though!

I was reading about this last night and it sounds like a mask I would 💗🌹💗 but yikes...that $ @veronika23! I haven’t tried their masks yet and someone here mentioned a mini mask trio set...that would be brilliant 🤞🏼!!!

Yeah I thought the price was high too! Yes a mini set would be nice! I've tried their Jet Lag mask and it did nothing for me... don't understand the hype around it. 😂😂😂 @eshoe

So after seeing @Shosh85 use her Erno Laszlo rubber mask and seeing the challenge to get it mixed all smooth I knew I had to do one of mine tonight.  I have the Firm and Lift version.  I got this in a four pack for 6$ at TJMaxx, and after using it tonight, I should have grabbed all the boxes! 

I mixed it all up and actually was pretty pumped because I thought I got it so smooth.  Then I had to get it on my face.  This was the most difficult part of the mask.  The first few minutes it kept getting kinda drippy in big globs. It had a really nice light minty scent to it that I could still smell if I really tried after it dried down.  It took a bit of work to get it all on my face and where I wanted it, but once it started to set up I see where the clumpy look comes in.

I wasn't expecting the cooling feeling as the mask dried down.  I touched my face to see if the mask was still tacky and it wasn't but man...it was cold. Like actually cold.  It didn't feel tight on, but did feel firming.  

I peeled the mask off after about 20/25 minutes and my skin felt cool to the touch for about 5 minutes.  It does feel nice and smooth, and while I can't really speak to any firming or lifting... I just really like how my face feels right now.  

@eshoe noticed that I made it up to rising star so I figured to celebrate the smooth rubber mask challenge we were joking about and the new ranking, I'd toss on some Hall of Famer lipstick!  

I will gladly use up the rest of these masks.  I would not pay 88$ US for these guys, but I'll enjoy what I have.  Would probably be really nice on a hot summer day!
