Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Your hair mask sounds so wonderful for this time of the year @lmaster; year round really - who doesn’t want soft and silky hair?!! Some great finds are from sub boxes! Too bad about the sheet mask, it had the makings of a really nice one!

I’m glad that it wasn’t a complete waste @lmaster ! At least your hair is hydrated and nourished ! I’m wondering if the sheet mask you used had too much shea butter and your skin wasn’t able to absorb it?

Well, that could be @keana1 but then I am confused at why it said to rinse the serum completely off your face..

TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL Coconut Water Gel Mask

This is a clear hydrogel mask that is drenched with watery serum, which, according to the packaging, contains 80% coconut water. It also has a light and pleasant coconut scent. I separated the mask from the mesh divider and placed the more textured side of it against my face. It adhered well and had a pretty good fit – just a little too long at the forehead and chin. I left it on for about 20 minutes and when I removed it most of the serum was already absorbed, with no sticky/tacky feeling left behind. My skin was soft and smooth and my face felt refreshed, hydrated and had a nice glow! 

I really enjoyed this one and I'd definitely buy and use again!

Thank you for the suggestion! I read the reviews and most said it doesn't leave behind a tacky residue so I might have to try it! My skin seems to be craving hydration these days due to heaters and cold weather, of course. Also, a little off topic, I absolutely love Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber De-Tox™ Hydra-Gel Eye Patches 60 Pads-30 Treatments. Have you tried these yourself? They are absolutely divine refrigerated! They are so expensive tho. If you don't mind, do you have another suggestion for eye gel patches that you've tried that are a little cheaper? Possibly that can be refrigerated?

Thank you so much! I received Ulta's brochure and they have then 4 for $15. Not sure how this compares to Sephora's pricing, but I'm probably going to pick those up!

Not sure where you are, @Jbird1999, but US Sephora doesn’t carry them. Ulta usually runs a sale on them in the summer (40% off this year on the 4 count boxes) and in the fall (50% off the 4 count boxes, but they limit the quantity you can buy to two).

What they are offering is funny because it's what I'm buying - you get a set of eyegels with any Skyn purchase so I guess I'll have five for $15.

@Jbird1999, that’s a good deal if you get the Skyn Iceland eye masks 5 for $15. The Sephora cucumber 🥒 eye masks are regularly $5 each. Once you’ve had a chance to use the Skyn Iceland masks, please let us know what you think of them. 😃

I just wanted to be more specific in my review. With the Skyn eye gels, the cooling sensation was not there, they felt rather dry. I feel like my eye area may be tighter, but that's about it.

Hello again! I'm back to report.

Got the Skyn Iceland Gel Eye Masks. Ulta didn't give me the extra one, tho, even when it was advertised in their brochure. Oh well, I actually chilled a pair in the fridge for about 20 minutes and it really didn't get that cold. Definitely not like Peter Thomas Roth's Cucumber Gel Patches. I have to say I'm not all that impressed by the Skyn product. I think I will add Sephora's cucumber eye gels to my basket and give them a try! That's my feedback - I prefer PTR over Skyn's version. Thanks for the product suggestion. Going to now make up a mask of some sort to sooth my skin from a facial mist I tried or possibly a mask. I think one of them has to be the culprit. My face feels like it is on fire for two days now! Sorry, had to complain...Thanks for requesting my opinion!

Hey again! I just wanted to report back to you that after the Skyn eye gels (and the DIY yogurt and honey mask, which I didn't apply under my eyes) I see that the undereye area is quite brighter, significantly appears less dark. Just wanted to be honest and thorough. And I took your suggestion and purchased Sephora's cucumber eye gels to try out! Thanks again!
