Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

I was gifted that When mask by @itsfi, and still have yet to use it! I'm super excited to try it, but I kinda feel like I need to wait for the right the occasion! ☺️ It is so great that your little one got in on the masking experience!

I don't think I've tried that Creme Shop mask yet! Smooth and plump skin sounds great to me! 🙌😍

@eshoe Haha! A lot of the animal ones I haven't tried yet! Also, I think I own more than I've tried. 😂 I just have such a variety of masks these days, it's hard (but fun😉) to decide which mask comes next!

The Clarins is another recommendation from @itsfi, @lmaster, which should be no big surprise 😉 I use it a lot, much more than I post about. It has a light perfume-y scent like most Clarins products. I tried the Hydrating one as well but prefer this one, though they are basically the same.

Smart way to use up a ds @eshoe ive been wondering how much serum you would need to saturate one of those diy masks, and now we have at least a idea!👍

A lot of serum, @sonnydee! There was quite a bit in the package, and the little mask was a challenge to open as it was still kinda dry.

Your morning masking choices look great for pre-makeup application masking @eshoe! Your skin must have felt so soft and smooth! 🙂 The exfoliation in the Eve Lom cleanser comes from the papaya fruit enzyme in it. The honey products in your evening routine are AMAZING!! Love them all! The Farmacy Honey Savior is so good! It really keeps my skin hydrated and moisturized. It's now something I have to have with me when I do any flying. It's just so good.

Loved that your little masker went with the When 10:00 p.m. mask to prep for her big night! 🙂  She's going to be amazing!! ❤️

Interesting experiment with the DIY mask!!  We all learned something from your test! 🙂 I wonder how many When masks you'd need to go through to get enough of the extra serum for the DIY mask.

I am guessing at least 3 more When masks, @itsfi. But I ration them so I may never know for sure 😂 I also wonder how much of a difference there is with absorption of bio cellulose vs cotton. I would *think* the bio cellulose ones require less, but I am no scientist. It also makes me appreciate thinner cotton masks even more; they feel more hydrating than the thicker ones, which can feel stiff and not adhere as well. Whatever the case, it was fun😊

Oh, and she left her mask on for our entire brush cleansing, which lasted around 30 minutes. I just received a brush tree and wanted to teach her how to clean her own makeup brushes. Watching the color drain from each brush is so satisfying!

@eshoe, when it comes to cotton masks, I prefer the thinner ones for the exact reason you describe. 30 minute masking and a brush cleaning lesson? She’s a multi-tasker!

I'm so excited to return to my regular masking schedule!! I missed 2 weekends of because of the holidays, so I know my skin needs some extra TLC.

This is my 3rd or 4th time using the Ulta Mud Mask, and it is quickly becoming a favorite. The mask smells so good, and I love that my sensitive skin doesn't react at all while putting it on. I don't have anything special to say about the Cucumber Eye Mask, but it is very moisturizing, as expected. I like the scent of Lotus Sheet Mask. It is floral, but not overly powerful. After 20 minutes, my dry skin soak in all that good serum, and my face felt noticeably smoother while I finished the rest of nighttime skin routine. Overall, I give it 5 out of 5 Stars.

I absolutely LOVE this mask @byme4u!! My skin felt so soft after my mask session, and it still feels smooth today. When it's time to buy more masks, this is definitely going to be at the top of my list.

@sephoraaddict918, love your choice of masking here! I’m curious about both Sephora masks, their eye masks are so good (love how light they are, you barely notice them when they are on).

This looks like a fabulous masking trio @sephoraaddict918! I’ve used the 2 Sephora masks and like them but I’ve not tried the Ulta green tea mud mask. It sounds nice. Does that mud mask dry down and harden?

Thank you @itsfi! It was quite the enjoyable masking combo! Yes, the mask does dry down and harden, but it doesn't get tight and uncomfortable.

@sephoraaddict918 I've wondered about the Ulta Mud Mask – glad to hear you've liked them! Do these dry down hard?

Especially in the summer, I like to use the cucumber eye masks straight from the fridge! Feels so refreshing and helps wake you up a bit! 🥒😉
