Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Last night for this week's theme. I tried The Pearl mask. The white creamy texture took me off guard. I still wore it and enjoyed the scent. Then after 20 minutes this little red guy gave me a shout out. 🤔 The mask didn't itch. It actually felt soothing. I even checked ingredients before application. Nonetheless, the red bump is tell tell I'm allergic to something in the mask. I rubbed the excess off. Then washed my face again. Disappointed, but it's okay.

Hi @Shosh85! Thank you. The mask really was soothing on so I was suprised I had a reaction. My red guy was gone this morning. I'm grateful it was a short lived reaction.

@itsfi yaaaaaaaay!! so glad you are loving that mask! I just tried it the other day, I used it as a sleeping mask and love it too,, so far 😉

It's really nice for the cold weather @lmaster!  I like the creamy texture because my skin veers more dry and it helps to moisturize my skin, but I know that it might be too heavy for oily skins. Do you find it too emollient for your skin?

No I love it @itsfi right now I'm more often combo/ dry with the weather I'm getting. So it's perfect for me at the moment 😉

Thank you @veronika23! The mini jar is a 10-day supply. After I saw your post about this mask coming out, I contacted the company to see if they would be doing pre-orders for it or if there were plans to offer a travel size after the initial launch. I didn’t get an answer to either question 🙁 (which is a bummer because with the watermelon one I picked up the regular size and a week later, the travel size came out) but was offered this 10-day supply 😀 which arrived on the 1st. I do hope they put out a mini or travel version of this and Sephora has a promo code for a DS.

The Skinfood avocado lip products are super cute! This line, the banana one, the peach one and their pore care (octopus) and panda line (can’t remember what this is geared towards) have such adorable packaging!

Really unexpected that they’d send me a trial size of the mask. Such a nice gesture. 😃

Be forewarned @veronika23...it’s easy to load up your shopping cart on the Skinfood website (though in full disclosure if it’s a skincare or makeup site, I’m pretty sure I’ll find a way to fill up a shopping cart. Then comes the hard part - whittling down the items to something more manageable. Hahahaha! 😅).
