Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@Kim888 darn, sorry to hear about the Cabana Cream!! – I've already heard from others that they didn't care for it much either! I had some high hopes for that one! 😕 🥥

I love The Creme Shop! It seems all the holiday ones are turning out great! I've only heard positive reviews so far!! So happy to hear you liked it! 🤗👍

@Kim888, how does the BLAQ peel off compare to other peel off masks you’ve used? I’m always a little nervous about using them (I have the boscia one), but it sounds like this one worked out well for you.

@itsfi I prefer the blaq one over the Boscia one. I found it did a better job penetrating - I didn’t think the Boscia one actually pulled anything out but the peel off pain level was about the same. I read something that said do two thin layers rather than one thick one and I definitely think that helps

I noticed the TJ’s package says ‘Natural Cucumber Fragrance’ @Kim888, and I know whenever I’ve made cucumber water if I don’t remove them after only a short time, the taste is way too strong. Goes from pleasant to overbearing pretty quickly! Seems like from all the reviews I’ve seen, their masks are just ok.

@eshoe I need to start paying attention lol - I was grocery shopping and was last minute was just like oooh sheet mask I didn’t even look at it . I know I don’t like that scent so I would have known . Oh well it was like $1

Good thing it was only $1 @Kim888. I’ve made the mistake way too often of 1) not checking ingredients before buying 2) not remembering if others said a mask was good or bad, resulting in 3) I buy a 5 pack of a 👎🏼 mask and pass up on the 👍🏼 one 😆

tried this milk mask today, received from mask Maven, fit was great, no strong scent at all. left it on for 15 min because.... alcohol was the 5 th ingredient, not super high on the list, so I'm hoping once again my oil production stays at Bay! after removing, the serum stayed tacky even hours later, so I applied moisturizer to resolve that issue. overall, I did see that my skin was brighter and did feel a bit firmer, but it claims to moisturize and I didn't really feel hydrated at all. I wouldn't go out of my way to seek this mask out and purchase

It's a bummer @veronika23 I was really hoping this milk mask would be great, good thing there are other milk masks out there, just need to find one with alcohol low low low on the list

@lmaster, I almost used this mask earlier in the week. I was debating whether to go with a sheet mask I was familiar with or this one. A milk mask sure does sound like it would be moisturizing; it’s too bad it didn’t meet your expectations. 😕 I’ll give it shot another day and see how it fares for me.

Tacky masks are the worst feeling @lmaster !! It sounded so interesting at first too

Yep @Kim888 it was mostly around the chin area, but it still was a decent ish mask. The fit was great, the serum smelled subtle, but the alcohol and tackiness kinda outweighs the pros for me

Bummer, @lmaster! I’m paying close attention to the Beauteque masks, as I’m interested in their quality. Sounds like this one is a pass😕
