Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@emaisgr8, sorry to hear about the tackiness. Leaders is one of my favorite brands for sheet masks. They have quite a few different lines; my favorite in this line is the propolis mask - so hydrating!

The tackiness is disappointing @emaisgr8, hope it helped give your skin some good hydration at least. I haven’t tried that one yet but need to. I will keep this in mind!

I tried the Dr Althea water glow skin renewal hydrogel mask yesterday for my last "A" mask for the challenge. ok, when I opened the package, the masks just slid out and were falling off of the protective covering,,uughh and like @Shosh85 it was literally like holding a wet fish!!! don't know what side the serum was on because they just fell out 😂 so I applied the two separate hydrogel masks, and noticed after just a few minutes, the mouth piece was not adhering well at all. I was thinking,,, did I put the wrong side down on my skin, no clue at this point, but I just kept pushing the air bubbles down and made it through the 20 minutes. it did hydrate well, and after removing, I took some extra serum from the package and patted that into my jaw/ chin area, because there was a lack of anything there. overall I'll give this mask a B due to the packaging and confusion for me to apply this hydrogel mask correctly with it slipping out of the protective coverings. probably wouldn't seek this particular one out because I've used hydrogel masks that didn't cause so much distress 😂😂

@lmaster Oh man, those hydrogels can be challenging, but they do usually give great results! We owe the lovely "wet fish" analogy to @eshoe!! It describes it perfectly, doesn't it?!😂🐟🐠

Yes to the wet fish comparison @lmaster! That's exactly why I'm not a big hydrogel fan.

Good to know @lmaster! I’ll be sure to be extra careful when it comes time to use this one. It’s too bad there was so much work involved to keep the mask on.

@lmaster - I've been confused about what side the serum is on for some masks as well. Do you know any tricks to help determine which side should go on the face?

Wet fish does not seem appetizing but a B mask isn't bad.

@ShortErica I'm pretty new to the hydrogel masks, but usually the side that is covered by the protective film should have the serum, but mine literally all fell out so I had no idea and could barely hold onto the hydrogel as it was 😂😂
