Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

I’m still on the fence with dermaplaning. Not that I don’t think it’s awesome, but because I dread the idea of adding more to my beauty routine. If it’s amazing, don’t even tell me about it! I’m “la la la” with my ears closed. 🤫

I've been contemplating Dermaplaning for a while now. I've always waxed my face but recently I've become more worried about the long term effects of it like wrinkles or sagging skin. @scott1201 How is it different from shaving? Is it just the blade is lot sharper?

It’s a different kind of razor, if that makes sense. Like, if I run it against my finger it wouldn’t cut anything. You have to hold it at a 45 degree angle for the razor to catch. 

For me, I love it because it shaves AND exfoliates. I’ve never waxed my face (always threaded eyebrows, etc) so I can’t exactly say how it may be different. But, I’m sure it would be cheaper and better for the turnover of your skin cells. Maybe give it a try one month? The razor I have above come in a pack of 3 for like $5 on amazon. @Aaliaa

Are these Korres mask and peel heavily fragranced? I like rose scented skincare and bath and body products, but I tried a sample of the Korres rose sleeping mask and it was too overpowering a scent for me.  Just wondering how strong the fragrance in these products are.  @scott1201

There is a slight fragrance, @Anonymous. For intensity, I would akin it to the Mario bedasco rose spray.

Hello, I’ve been quietly stalking this thread and following along. But I keep forgetting to take any pics at all. I can usually get a mask in on Sunday mornings. Snowy here today! Anyway, today I did the Glamglow eye mask and a sample of the Fresh Lotus new mask. I forgot to take a pic while these were on, so here are the products with my supervisor. Along with everything else, she was not feeling well last week but seems to be doing way better now!

Anyway, Glamglow says use one side per eye. But I always split one side for both eyes. I don’t know if this does anything but you ladies said it was eye mask week, so I used it! Honestly I was so distracted, I forgot to pay attention to the new Lotus mask, so I’ll have to try it again sometime and pay attention to what I’m doing, ugh.

I used to use one side for both eyes as well.  I never got through my whole box of them cause they all dried out after a couple weeks.  Total waste of money.  @sister13

“Hello, Clarice.” Getting a head start on “weird mask” week. I freaked my husband out in this one. Neogen Pink Cactus Liftmax Knit Mask. I’ve never had a knit mask before; the sheet was super heavy. Let’s how lifted my skin feels tomorrow morning!

So I’m not sure how much lifting it did, but my skin was so hydrated and glowing this morning. My makeup went on so beautifully, it hardly looked like I was wearing any at all. I will say though, do it before bed, because it leaves your skin super tacky/sticky after mask removal. Overall, I recommend.
