Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@quspork My hands have been fairly dry this winter and they look pretty good today so I'm happy with it.  I'll use up what I have and might pick up another depending on what else I see for hand masks going forward.  It was the first time I've done a hand mask and I gotta say it exceeded my expectations!

Great overall masking @missjeanie ! Do you know if the Life Foot Mask would fit someone with size 10 feet ( women’s size ) ? Sorry about the Skinn lip scrub ! But like the other members said, you can use it elsewhere. I have both The Creme Shop masks to try, would you recommend using the Watermelon one in summer instead of winter? Despite having to wait 15-20 minutes before rinsing the body mask, the results sound like it’s worth being naked in the bathroom for that amount of time!

@keana1 I wear a women 9 and I had room to wiggle my toes etc.  I would say that a 10 could get away with wearing the Life Brand foot mask.  An 11 might be pushing it though. 

The watermelon mask I think will be a summer one for me.  I think it'll be nice in the fridge on a warm day to help cool off.  The amount of moisture for me was minimal and I think the light scent will be nice on a hot muggy day. 

The body mask was okay.  I'll for sure use it up and might delve into another type of body mask if I happen upon one, but I don't think I'll be doing this regularly.  I pretty much stood around watching a you tube video while my friend laughed at me for not being able to touch anything (I made him come in and turn on my video) lol

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer the questions I had @missjeanie ! 😊 I’ll be looking for the foot mask at Shoppers Drug Mart ( Pharmaprix in the province of Quebec ) . I’ll keep the Watermelon mask for summer and use the Hyaluronic Acid one this winter since it’s far from over 🙄 ! Your friend must of had a good laugh 😂! when you were standing there naked watching a YouTube video!

@keana1 the look on his face when he came in the bathroom to to pull the videos up for me was hilarious... he kept this blank questioning look on his face while he fiddled with my iPad, then as he was leaving asked if I was feeling ok, or....? lol I started cracking up and he was just like "ok, I'll just leave you be then" and started howling once he was down the hall!

I don’t have a SO right now @missjeanie . 😔 I thought that I found the right one but I left him in 1998 and haven’t found a SO yet.

@keana1 I think most of us have thought we've found the right one at some point or another only to find out we were wrong.  I use the term SO because "Mr. It's Complicated" is too long to type out lol!

Wow you covered EVERYTHING here @missjeanie, fantastic masking!!!! I totally hear you on the lip scrub; not the same brand but a different one I bought, has such a perfume taste it baffles me that it ever passed QC😆 It’s in the shower for use as a foot scrub now.

@eshoe I had just used up one that tasted like brown sugar!  I'm not looking to actually eat these masks at all, but I mean... it's going to get in your mouth a bit. I agree with you, how do companies think the perfume taste is ok?  Have they ever tried their products?  I got this one in an Ipsy bag and I think I like the idea of using it on my elbows in the shower.  I might try to use it a few more times while I use it up on my body... but it'll be gone a lot quicker than if I had liked it.

Brown sugar doesn’t sound too bad, @missjeanie! Mine is rose and I don’t know, it sounded good in theory but...the perfume taste was 😝

@eshoe the brown sugar was nice.  I'm not sure how I'd do with a floral taste.  This one is just straight up perfume. I don't even know what kind of perfume. Just yuck. lol There should be a rule that anything like this needs to be a food flavour.

A multi-masking Sunday evening for you @missjeanie! 😃 That OH scrub is a nice one - I’m fond of the products in this line. Is there a way you can repurpose the lip scrub? Most face products that don’t work for me end up being used on my feet, but I’ve also found that lip scrubs work well as an elbow scrub.

@itsfi Multi-masking indeed!  I like the OH scrub too.  I'd pick up another if I happened to see them on sale, but I'll probably grab something different just for varieties sake.  I think the lip scrub will end up in the shower to use up in there both on the lips and my elbows.  It'll get used up quicker that way and I can move onto something that I actually enjoy.

@lmaster The OH scrub is a nice one.  I would re-purchase if I saw it on sale.  Much more gentle than the walnut scrub, but still scrubby enough.

I think I used that skinn lip scrub up as a foot scrub 😉@missjeanie. I must have got hit with a double dosed of fragrance for that hand/nail mask. It was a good mask but I'm scared to buy a pack. 😬

@sonnydee I really did try sniffing it quite a bit after reading about yours.  There was a scent for sure, but I didn't find it very overpowering at all.  I did use it at the same time as the Foot mask, and the foot mask had a stronger scent, so maybe some of it was diluted by the foot scent.  About two hours after I had taken the gloves off, I could't smell it at all. Maybe if the scent is too strong for you they'd be good to use out on a patio in the summer!
