@QueenMarceline

I love a strong lavender scent. πŸ’œ

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@missy94612 Haha, honestly... same.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

This one works for both @keana1's fruit theme from last week and this week's band name theme from @PrettyPaint - anyone up for listening to a set from The ElectrolytesπŸ˜‰  I can also get in a V for Vitamasques, vitamins A & C, and vegan-friendly, along with a U for UK - the company is based in the United Kingdom; their masks are made in South Korea.

V + Fruits - Watermelon.jpg

tl;dr: soft, thin-leaning cotton sheet carrying an ideal amount of a clear, cooling, viscous and faintly scented essence that leaves skin feeling and looking hydrated and bouncy, with a fresh-faced, dewy glow after half an hour of wear. A great mask for all skin types; best suited for normal, oily or combo skin types year-round, and for those with more dry skin in the warmer months

Spoiler
I discovered this brand over a year ago and have been using them ever since; it's been great to see other BIC'ers using Vitamasques sheet masks and loving them as well. Their lychee mask was my intro to the brand and has been a favorite so I was really excited to give this Vitamasques Electrolyte Watermelon Hydrate Mask a go when I was gifted it.

Material + Essence

The soft, thin-leaning cotton sheet is full of (without feeling saturated or drenched in) a clear, watery, viscous essence that has just the slightest hint of a watermelon scent - it's very subtle, but smells more like real watermelon than the watermelon Jolly Rancher we commonly get in watermelon skincare product - both good, just different.  I pick up what I associate with the flesh and rind of a watermelon, but as I said, it is faint, very faint, and may be tempered by the scent from the mix of floral and herbal cica extracts in the mask; or, then again, it could be the added fragrance at the end of the INCI list.

Adherence + Fit:

Adherence was good and the mask only required minimal adjustments to give me a fit tailored to my face size, shape and features - as with most sheet masks, I needed to take off about an inch at the chin and jawline. The openings for the eye holes were nice but a few snips at both corners helped the material to lie flat against my skin, making for a more comfortable wear in those areas.

Performance + Results

The amount of essence in this mask was ideal for me this time of the year when my skin leans more combination and in need more of hydration than moisturization from a mask. There was not so much essence that it was runny everywhere or sitting atop my skin after removing the sheet, and not so little that I have to search for more essence in the packet, and it was evenly distributed so I didn't have to reallocate essence from one part of the sheet to another. This coupled with the softness of the sheet and the cooling feeling made for a lovely, comfortable, and refreshing 30 minutes of wear and left my skin feeling and looking hydrated and bouncy, with a fresh-faced, dewy glow

This is a great mask for all skin types; best suited for normal, oily or combo skin types year-round, and for those with more dry skin in the warmer months. It is one I'd consider a filler-plus mask, great for everyday use and nice for those days when your skin may need an extra boost of hydration. An all-around useful mask that really came in handy when I was out of town. Thank you @PrettyPaint  - it worked so well that I dropped into the closest Target I could find to pick up another one to use when I get home.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi  Yum! This mask sounds great! I’m wondering if there would be enough moisture to use after a day in the sun since it has a cooling effect. And the faint scent would make for a great relaxing nap!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@ather, a good watermelon sheet mask (and an actual watermelon, for that matter) after a day in the sun is great for re-hydrating the skin. πŸ‰ I think this Vitamasques one would have enough of the essence to infuse hydration back into oily, normal and combo-leaning dry skin types. Someone with dry or dehydrated skin might need a more, depending on the dryness or hydration level of their skin.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

This sounds great @itsfi  And I like watermelon in a sheet mask πŸ˜ƒ

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@Cissy63, watermelon sheet masks are wonderfully hydrating, which my skin benefits from all year round. β€οΈπŸ‰

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi sounds great and the watermelon is making me hungry!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@Mellmars1185, there's always room for watermelon. πŸ‰ As a sheet mask or snack; or both. πŸ˜‰

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi  Yay you made all the themes work!  I think I have a few masks from this brand floating around in my stash though I’m sure which ones.  watermelon is always a pleasant fragrance and it being amore natural scent is appealing:)

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@heartsmyface, I've been pretty impressed with this brand. If you have the lychee one, definitely tear into it - it's a favorite. I recently picked up the blueberry one - it has niacinamide in it - and am looking forward to giving it a try.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi

LOL, The Electrolytes - love it. The watermelon, too - a refreshing treat.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@missy94612, I love watermelon, as a fruit and in masks! β€οΈπŸ‰

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi the electrolytes πŸ˜‚ love it!!! Mmmmm watermelon!!!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@lmaster, The Electrolytes will put on a highly charged concert! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ I love watermelon. I think I'm going to make it my goal this summer to eat so much of it that I turn into a watermelon. Hahaha!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi both the mask AND your bowl of melon look amazing!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@CookieGirl1, I love spring and summer fruits. The watermelon and sheet mask were both refreshing! β€οΈπŸ‰

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi The Electrolytes - I like that! I am also loving that bowl of watermelon - it looks like a good one! I'm glad that the mask was refreshing. My skin is also combination right now. I think I need a combination sheet mask that is detoxifying/clarifying for the nose/chin and hydrating for the cheeks.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@PrettyPaint, I love watermelon! πŸ‰ I've no idea how to pick the best ones; this one turned out to be really juicy and delicious! Oh my goodness, how great would it be if there was a mask that was both detoxifying/clarifying for the nose/chin and hydrating for the cheeks?!! Definitely let me know if you run across one like that. It would be, in the words of Chandler Bing when he was stuck in an ATM vestibule with Jill Goodacre ... "perfection". Hahaha! (Just ignore that Friends reference if it doesn't make any sense to you).

Gum would be perfection.jpg

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

After spending 2 days on my garden I needed some extra moisture. This was in my expiring soon pile! Definitely made my skin feel better. It did leave extra tack which I normally hate but I’m to tired to be mad. I would totally use this one again!!
