Hello! Been MIA from the thread for a bit, trying to get back into it. 

I used the Dr. Jart+ Dermaclear™ Micro Milk Peel 5.07 oz/ 150 mL for an active, followed by The Face Shop Red Ginseng sheet mask to be in the right letter sequence for the month. 

I love the Micro Milk Peel for a quick pick me up. The cotton pads have a scratchy side and a soft side.

The red Ginseng was cooling and had an earthy but pleasant, light scent. I got a bunch of these at The Face Shop in Hawaii a couple years ago, should probably use them up but they have all been fine so far.

For both Peels and “T,” a handful of Tula to hopefully soften my skin:

Somehow I have been accumulating Tula, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to try them altogether. The TULA Skincare So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub 2.9 oz / 82 g is a sweetly scented full-of-sugar scrub that reminds me of the beach. A little bit of sunscreen, but the good kind. I finished this little tube last night, and really enjoyed using it. It is very sugar dense, without being sticky or goopy. It definitely softened my skin after I very-gently washed it off, careful not too scrub too hard (learned that lesson the hard way 🙂 ). 

After removing and misting, I used a couple of pumps of the TULA Skincare Secret Solutions Pro-Glycolic® 10% Resurfacing Treatment Toner 3 oz / 90 ml. I have been using this off and on for a few months, but so sparsely between that it would be difficult to attribute any major changes to its use. However, despite the high percent of glycolic acid, it has never caused redness or sensitivity to my skin. Despite a rather lackluster night’s sleep, my skin appeared refreshed this morning - so there are plenty of reasons for me to continue using it!

Next up was the Vitamasques Jade Sheet Mask Balance Mood and Soothe Skin. This had almost no scent - maybe a very slight ‘sheet mask’ aroma if I tried hard enough to detect one. The sheet itself was an extra-comfy, soft and thin material, fitting and adhering quickly and easily to my skin. There was enough extra clear, medium thick serum to reapply halfway through, and I ended up wearing it around 25 minutes. After removing, my skin felt cool and a little - but not too -much - tacky. I would 100% repurchase this.

After essence and serum, I tried the TULA Skincare 24-7 Moisture Hydrating Day & Night Cream, the only one out of the trio that was new to me. My first impression was the fragrance; it has a perfumed scent, which was a little strong I thought. It is a thin-medium weight moisturizer, and although I felt it might not provide enough hydration on its own, but decided to try it solo rather than adding on a sleeping mask.

I was not surprised when I woke up to rather tight cheeks, and added a dollop of a heavier cream to my face to tide me over until I could do my normal routine. This will make a great neck cream, however!

Wondering if using both the toner and scrub weakens your skin barrier, makes it sensitive? The matchy matchy colors make for an easy pic.

I think you are absolutely on to something, @elleb810. It is sometimes more fun to create a photo than anything else, so I may be guilty of that! But I also learn how to work around unexpected issues better that way, since I have already committed myself to a routine. At any rate, something is learned during the process ☺️

@eshoe  I love your picture!!! Hmm 10% glycolic that seems high. I don’t remember seeing that product here I’m wondering if it’s to high Canada doesn’t allow it. I have the scrub now I’m excited to try it. I remember trying the cream and not feeling like it was overly amazing so I’m happy to hear it’s not just me. How has your skin been lately?

@ather that definitely might be the case. Seems like the acids are really under control there! 

My skin has been a-ok until I tried GLAMGLOW BRIGHTMUD™ Dual-Exfoliation Treatment Mask last night. It ended well thanks to Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin™ Body Lotion 6.76 oz/ 200 mL and Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin ™ Moisturizing Cream 1.69 oz/ 50 mL. Thankful I had those on hand to help soothe the madness!

How about you? Any fun/interesting skincare  adventures lately?

@eshoe  Well in March I woke up one Friday and my eye was swollen almost to the point I could only open it a tiny bit. I had a really bad infection in my face. Not sure how I got it or where it came from. I had to be super careful so basically no makeup and minimal skincare until it healed. Since my face has been good. Very dry but I’m guessing it’s due to the season change. I switched my foundation to the Kosas oil and it seems to be better. I’ve also been using lawless set the stage primer which I feel works like skincare so double win!! I finally feel like I’ve gotten my skincare routine down perfectly!  I used a mask and I added a retinol in last night and my face seems to be ok this morning. Shani Darden Skin Care Mini Retinol Reform® 0.3 oz/ 10 mL  I wish the foil had enough for more than one use because it felt so nice. Hope all is well with you and the fam!!!

Oh @ather, that sounds awful! How scary, too. I am very happy to hear that it has healed completely. 

I have tried that retinol as well. It was working fine (no irritation at 1x a week) until I bumped it up to twice a week. My skin was NOT happy! I haven’t tried it again since that (a few months ago), but maybe now I will give it another shot. Good luck with it, I hope it is smooth sailing from here!

@eshoe, I found the Vitamasques gemstone masks I tried, including this jade one, to be options for filler masks. Nice that it's a repurchase for you. I see them at Target so it's accessible for many.

@ather, there's usually something new we learn about in these sets, right?! I don't think I've tried the watermelon under eye masks; I've tried the SEPHORA COLLECTION Clean Eye Mask Caffeine and liked it. They recently released to new "flavors" - SEPHORA COLLECTION Vitamin Eye Masks Papaya + Vitamin C and SEPHORA COLLECTION Vitamin Eye Masks Aloe Vera + Vitamin E. I picked up the papaya one but haven't had a chance to try it. I may include in it the sheet mask bag I'm putting together for my carry-on. 🛅 ✈️
