This year is going to be a little different - simplified. Easy. Every month will have a new theme, and that's it. Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Most importantly - have fun!

Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights 💮

The last of my January Masks! 

Guys... 33 masks in January.  I'm feeling so motivated to get through the last of the older masks to be able to have more fun with theming, but... I did manage to get a few numbers masks in here.

- The 7 am Mask from Hectic -- spoiler alert... I was not masking at 7am.  I did however try to use this in the morning before I got going with my skincare.  It's a two piece mask with one side of the material having a bit of a plastic like coating.  It reminded me of the plastic like feel of the outside of a diaper lol.  There essence on this mask was more like a cream, and it was evident that it was heavily situated on the cloth side of the mask.  I feel like this is a bit of a foil mask situation, without the foil.  The mask fit was... okay, but not amazing, as I wore it, it felt better, almost like the warmth from my skin helped settle it in.  The plastic did keep the moisture in and I wore this easily for 35 in a meeting (I'm all for turning off cameras lol) and I likely could have gotten away with longer.  There was a bit of a scent to the mask, that reminded me of... vinegar?  I really do feel like this mask gave me some great moisture to start the day.  I have no idea what claims this mask makes, the back was not in English, I do think I tried to find a translation at one time, but I just didn't bother.  Nice mask, odd fit, but the two piece factor made the fit okay, and I enjoyed the creamy 'serum'.  
- 1:00 am Mask from Hectic -- This was the same two piece material with the plastic ish on one side and creamy essence. However the scent on this one was wonderful.  I can't place it for the life of me, but it's a combo of fresh, fruity and floral? I didn't notice a difference in efficacy between this one and the 7am, so for that reason alone... I vote the 1am as better simply due to the wonderful scent. 
- 10:00 pm from Hectic -- So... This one you wear the mask first, regular full mask with a clear super viscous serum, and a generic skincare scent.  This mask was so drippy!  I wore it for about 25 minutes and probably should have taken it off at 20... but... life was happening.  The step 2 was two gauzy pads that were absolutely soaked in another super watery serum.  They were both driiiiping.  I rubbed them both over my face and chest and felt like I could have kept going for an hour based on how saturated they were, but called it once I felt like I had a lot of serum back on my face again.  I probably should have gone looking for instructions again here... but... lazy. I wondered if the two pads labeled glacier water in step 2 were meant to be water to remove the serum from step 1.  maybe?  I made sure to be thorough with them just in case.  This was fine, but I don't think it did anything different from any generic mask.  
- My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Brightening Mask -- This mask had a bit of a scent to it, reminded me of a perfume my grandmother used to wear.  A bit powdery, though light.  The mask says it's intense brightening which is a bit of a stretch.  I know... crazy the a skincare company would stretch like this.  I found that it was a lovely mask and I believe I got it in a multi pack for a good deal.  Most of the My Beauty Diary masks I've tried are what I would call great filler masks.  They aren't wowing, but they are great as daily masks.  I get a great 25  minutes of wear out of them and I find they give me that "I just did a face mask and now I'm awake" look. 

Overall my fav from this bunch is the 1am.  I have a few more left and then should be into being more choosy about masks to fit themes etc.

@PrettyPaint I swear that’s the kind of plastic feel it had to it… I think most of the newer diapers don’t have that, but I couldn’t figure out how else to describe it. If you know… you know lol

I love that you did all the Hectic masks! I've only tried the 7:00 AM mask, but really enjoyed it!

I still have a couple repeats of them left to do this week @Shosh85 , I’m glad I’m not the only one who enjoyed them. They were a bit odd compared to other masks, but i still enjoyed them!

I feel like succeeding in using a 'mask a day' even if it just averaged out like that is pushing me to do the same in February.   My skin seems to be enjoying it and I'm feeling like I'm actually using the things I buy lol! I'm happy to have a few more of the My Beauty Diary masks left!

33 masks in a month @missjeanie?!!! 👀 That’s fantastic! 👍🏼 👊🏼🙌🏼👏🏼  Love your masking choices here, especially doing the Hectic masks; the cream based masks sound wonderful this time of the year. I am bookmarking this page for another day, maybe a haul day. 😆 A haul day? Yeah, not for a while. The weather will be warmer when that happens. 😝

@itsfi Thanks!  The cream ones were actually much nicer than I remembered.  That plastic layer and the cream concentrated on the inside... good combo even if the fit was bit off.

@missjeanie I'm honestly having trouble with the numbers theme myself but it just came to me earlier today and I found just the right thing for it 🙂 I'm with @Mellmars1185 those are some super unique masks that I haven't seen before. Super cool choices and I'm glad most of them worked out quite well for you.

@QueenMarceline I think I have a few more numbers in my stash, I just need to look through a bit more.  I'm working on pulling out a dozen or so and keeping them on my washroom counter to remind me to use them.  I'm not mad at having a few more of these ones to go through this week!

@Mellmars1185 The Hectic masks were a pick up from TJ Maxx a few years ago.  I have a TJ Maxx problem for mask packs lol

This is for the number theme...

It's the SSAW 7 Teen Herb Tea Mask. It says that it's moisturizing and firming. It definitely smelled "herbally," and the fit was a bit too large all over. My skin is pretty dry and dehydrated with the cold weather, so I didn't find it to be particularly moisturizing. I'd say it's probably just a filler mask, as I didn't really notice any significant benefits.

@lmaster  I totally agree. I am in great need of some sunshine. And yes, my skin is looking pretty dull and parched these days.

@PrettyPaint, this winter has been a doozy on the skin. The ingredients list for this mask looks really good. I wonder if you’d see better results if you used it on a daily basis for a week or so, if your skin is okay with daily masking.

@itsfi  The ingredients do seem decent! I think it would probably work better in the warmer months for me. My skin is just a little bit too dry these days.
