Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masksπ
@Kim888 The Purenskin sounds amazing! What an especially soothing mask, too bad you didnβt have another to use after the Farmstay wreaked a little havocπ¬
@Kim888 Oh, that Oatmeal mask sounds fantastic! Definitely a great one to have on hand, especially when you have reactions like you did with the Carrot mask! Did your skin go back to normal pretty quickly after that one?
@Shosh85 @It did thankfully, I was a bit flushed for a bit but within an hour of rinsing it off it was all fine
@Kim888 I love masks with more straight-forward and simple ingredients. This oatmeal and the carrot mask are definitely right up my alley. Thank you for sharing and for your review of the oatmeal mask in particular. I'd love to check that one out π
@Kim888, I've liked a few of the masks I've tried from Purenskin and that oatmeal one sounds wonderful. π Oh my goodness, you're completely on theme with that one as well - oats are calming / soothing and oatmeal is a good source of vitamins, B-vitamins in particular! Besides, if your giving your skin what it needs with a mask, that's the best theme of all! π
Love to see an A+ mask, @Kim888. That oatmeal one does sound super soothing. I'm glad to hear it worked out so nicely for you!
@Kim888 I hope the oatmeal mask came after the carrot one! Yikes! That oatmeal though. Such a great masking ingredient and fab results!
@missjeanie Luckily yes! They were on two different days though!
@Kim888 Oh no, I'm so sorry about the reaction to the carrot mask. Do you have any idea what ingredient may have caused it?
That oatmeal mask looks fantastic! π
@PrettyPaint @Iβm not sure! Iβm usually not sensitive and I think itβs newer in my collection so itβs not expired !
@Kim888 love the oatmeal mask!! So so so sorry your skin had a reaction to the carrot mask
I have a bit of the theme!! As I'm trying to use masks up that are older I won't be on theme much lol.
@missjeanie that is so interesting that you donβt notice a peach scent anymore in that mask; only fragrance. Combined with the unhappy skin, makes me think hormones, tooπ€ I hope everything resolved quickly!
@eshoe I swear it was peachy at first... but now... straight up random floral fragrance. I even did a rapid test wondering if my sense of smell was off. Nope... just getting over that mask I guess.
Well at least you know you are healthy, @missjeanie π
@missjeanie I feel like most Tony Moly masks are just "run of the mill" - I don't remember ever hating any of them, but I know I also haven't loved any of them either.
That Yadah mask is good, solid and dependable! I think it may have been the first snail mask I ever tried and will always hold a special place in my heart. ππ
Big yes on all the Tony Moly @Shosh85 . I do think they've got some great marketing that makes me want to try them all... but they're all pretty basic filler masks for me at this point. Unless I hear a grand review of one or get a steal of a deal, then I'll pick one up lol. I can always be swayed.
@missjeanie, you're masking, treating your skin with what it needs (hello winter, please stop sucking my skin dry!!! π«), and working through your stash - that's awesome!
Love β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ the sample made you buy it tie-in! π I remember finding those Yadah snail masks in TJ Maxx / Marshalls and going crazy! I picked up 5 boxes. FIVE!!! Yeah, it was then that I realized I had a problem with sheet masks. Yes, only then. π I will not be doing that ever again! But, you gotta love an E for escargot mask! π You also have an A for anti-aging ingredients theme going with all the masks here! Just sayin'!
It'll be interesting to see which masks are ones you'd repurchase after you make your way through your mask stash, and if there's another snail mask that you pick up before this one. I'll stay tuned to find out. π
@itsfi I know there are a few more snails in there to be had over the year! I'm curious to try and find my favourite masks in several areas, hydrating, glowing/brightening, snail, clearing and full on save me my face is flaking off. Snail is the only (at least so far) ingredient that I know I love and want to find my favourite of.
That will be a lot of fun @missjeanie! I'm interested in seeing what your picks will be for those mask categories at the end of the year!
I totally feel you on using up some older masks. Definitely the perfect time for that, @missjeanie.
