Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masksπŸ’—

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@eshoe  hahah. I totally know that feeling. I've spent lots of time making a yummy treat only to drop it on the floor.

I am tired and totally misread what you wrote at first: "Swept everything up and shared it with my husband" - I interpreted as literally sweeping up the olives from the ground and sharing/giving them to your husband to eat. πŸ™‚

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

Lol nope, @PrettyPaint - unfortunately everything was a lossπŸ˜† None for my husband or I! It’s funny when you read things mixed up like that, though:)

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@haleyvvvv  2 out of 3 isn't bad!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

Thank you, @lmaster!! That's a great way of looking at it!!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

L is for last week's theme, BIC inspired masking - The Gastropods and Escar Go Go's world tour! πŸŒ

L - last week - BIC gastropods tour US.jpg

Slowly, but surely, The Gastropods and Escar Go Go's have arrived for the US leg of their world tour! πŸ˜€

While some products are manufactured in South Korea, these snail centric masks are from U.S. based brands - with New York, Texas and California being the home states for these three masks from US brands (and the non-sheet masks ones) are women founded and BIPOC brands. I had zero expectation of finding 3 snail masks from US brands when I started down the rabbit hole of this world tour! 🐌 Without further adieu, let's bring the bands on stage! πŸ˜‰
Wash Off Mask - Peach Slices Snail Rescue Intensive Wash-Off Mask:
Peach Slices Snail Rescue Intensive Wash-Off Mask has a jelly-like texture. It takes some effort to get the product out of the tub; including a spatula in the box wouldn't be a bad idea. The product is unscented, applies smoothly but feels tacky once applied. I'd say it has a medium-to-high tackiness to it that remains even after 20 minutes, which is about the time the product has absorbed into the skin - the tack once absorbed has definitely diminished but is still noticeable. It feels comfortable and refreshing on the skin. Skin looks hydrated and more plump, bouncy and feels soft and smooth. I noticed some of the redness around my nose and cheeks were visibly reduced, always a plus! I didn't expect to like this one as much as I do, which is definitely not a bad thing.
Sheet Mask - Facetory oh my GOODNESS Rejuvenating Snail Mask
🐌  MaskFacetory oh my GOODNESS Rejuvenating Snail Mask

🐌  f(x): Rejuvenating, anti-aging, helps to alleviate dryness and inflammation
🐌  Key INCI: snail mucin (hydrating and healing) + shea butter (moisturizing, protects skin barrier, softens skin)
🐌  Brand Origin: USA (California)
🐌  Material: Rayon sheet - soft, leans thicker than your classic cotton sheet but not as thin as a Tencel fiber mask.
🐌  Adherence: Good
🐌  Fit: Standard fit; smidge large along the perimeter; minor adjustments needed at corners of eyes and mouth openings.
🐌  Essence: Clear, watery but not runny; light-to-medium viscosity; absorbs easily into skin
🐌  Scent: Fresh, plus something else
🐌  Performance + Results: Sheet feels comfortable; no tack or sticky residue after 30 minutes of wear. Skin feels soft, hydrated and bouncy. Redness around my nose and cheeks appear reduced and complexion has a healthy glow to it.
🐌  Repurchase?: Maybe. There's a lot of competition out there for a good snail mask. This one is nice; I would use it again if I had one, though it's not one I'd consider at the top of my gastropod list.
Overnight / Sleeping Mask - Lovinah Royal Jelly Hydrating Overnight Mask
This light, cream-gel melts beautifully into the skin and boasts a plethora of beautiful skin care ingredients - royal jelly, peptides, snail mucin and bakuchiol, to name just a few. Those who prefer a really thick cream for an overnight mask might not care for the texture on this mask. I didn't pick up a scent.  I was skeptical when I first scooped out some of the product but needn't have been. The product applies easily and absorbs quickly.  There's zero tack, no stickiness to this mask. Results-wise, my complexion looked soft, smooth, and hydrated the next morning. Comes with a very cute (and convenient) spatula.
My initial impressions are that this seems like it could be a nice overnight mask for the spring/summer/early fall, but I want to give it a lengthier trial first, which is just what I'll do. Who knows?! Maybe that will be a springboard to a reunion tour with The Gastropods and Escar Go Go's
The Gastropods and Escar Go Go's thank you for being part of their first ever world tour! A sincere "Thank you!" to @PrettyPaint for such a fabulous theme and to @twilightnicky for the super cute Escar Go Go's band name - a perfect tour companion for The Gastropods! This was a lot of fun for me. Don't be surprised if there will be encore performances popping up during the rest of the year! πŸ˜‰

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi  Love this theme! Both of the wash off masks sound wonderful! Will definitely have to add those to my list! ...... and that shirt is fabulous! 🐌

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@Shosh85, I'll pretty much take any opportunity to use a gastropod mask, or I'll find a way to make an opportunity for snail masking. πŸ˜† Both the non-sheet masks are wonderful; the peach slices one is a new favorite - stickiness aside (it eventually does go away), it hydrates my skin really well - noticeable difference! πŸŒ

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi  Love your tee so much! That texture on the Lovinah is lovely! β€οΈ  I have tried the Facetory before and agree that it is probably just an average gastropod variety. Looking forward to the encore! πŸ™‚

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

Thank YOU @PrettyPaint, for such an awesome theme! Without it, The Gastropods and Escar Go Go’s might have never been.  It’s been a nice springboard for exercising some creativity. And I mean, this can’t be the last we hear of The Gastropods! 🐌

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

What a fun line-up, @itsfi! You're right about there being some stiff competition out there for a good snail mask, but these all sound like they turned out well!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@quspork, the band name theme has really brought a smile to my face, and given me more opportunities to try out snail masks. πŸ˜‰ Happy that there are a good amount of gastropod masks out there for me to try. 🐌 While there are new ones to love, I also find that it can be hard to beat the oldies but goodies. β™₯️

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi thank you for your review on the Peach Slices mask! That one has been in my cart for awhile now. I think I might go for it now. Love your tee🐌

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@eshoe, there’s a lot of product in the peach slices mask so you’ll get a lot of bang for your buck with it. πŸ‘πŸΌ Not sure which site you’ll pick it up from but Ulta sometimes has a buy one get one half off for peach slices. The toner from the line is good too and the moisturizer is alright.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

Thank you for the feedback on some of their other offerings, @itsfi. I need to restock my hydrating/calming/no frills masks and thought this would be a great add in to my stash. Sounds like it is just right!

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@itsfi what beautiful packaging on that overnight mask,, looks like a couple lovely masks

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@lmaster, there’s a lovely luxe quality to the packaging on the Lovinah mask, isn’t there? I especially love that it also boasts some wonderful skincare ingredients and performs nicely. πŸ’—

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

Loving the US leg of the tour and your "band shirt(?)" is too cute, @itsfi!! These all sound like winners, the wash off and sleeping ones are definitely getting added to my list.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

Thank you @haleyvvvv! It was a fun way to work in one of the challenge themes and working with all the snail masks provided a welcome break from an otherwise busy time for me. πŸ’— The non-sheet masks masks are the standouts of this set of masks; I was happy to have the chance to give them a try. πŸŒ

Yes, that is a tee! I had an idea for the set up of the photos for the "band tour" but just didn't have time to put all the pieces together, so I just went with a couple of tees in the drawer. I imagine the band theme could apply to future masking sessions I have so I can put that photo together when I have more free time. For now, the tees work -  I mean, "what's a concert without a tee?", right?! πŸ˜‚

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

Masking over the past couple of weeks:

K Week: Kale and a couple of BIC Made Me Do It!  goodies.

Starting off with the Topicals Like Butter Mask for Dry, Sensitive & Eczema-Prone Skin 1.7 oz/ 50 mL. I forgot that I was wearing this mask, it was so comfortable and non-obtrusive. It seemed to sink right in, and by the time I realized I needed to wash it off, I didn’t really want to let go of it - it was just so soothing. I tried the Topicals Faded Serum for Dark Spots & Discoloration 1.7 oz/ 50 mL and found the scent rather distracting; this, on the other hand, was rather welcoming. I carefully removed it, although reluctantly, for the next step.

My first go with the Raw Juice Masks was a nay; this Kale Spinach Broccoli version was an improvement. The scent was unimpressive, fit was normal, serum was sufficient. Everything I would hope for in an everyday mask. An ideal just getting it done mask. Would not repurchase but fun to try. The Dior Lip Glow Oil Holo Pink is always a joy to use ( thanks to @SportyGirly125!), giving my skin a layer of protection while adding some glossy shine.

Fruits and Veggies Weeks along with β€œL”

Just about one more serving of the Volition Beauty Detoxifying Silt Gelee Mask 2 oz/ 60 ml left in this beautiful little jar. Wash off masks are fun because they bring a little surprise to life. The Volition Silt GelΓ©e has a slight citrusy scent, combined with an unexpected clayish texture that refuses to dry. It is a treat to use, and in wash-offs, I think that supersedes anything else. Some days πŸ™‚

The Meditime JejuDeumppook Mask  looked promising for Fruits & Veggies Week (although the younger said it looked like chicken nuggets on the package, at first glance). It held an abundance of slimy, jelly-like serum in the packet. It also had an oversize fit, with no noticeable scent (+++). No major tack after removing, and no major desire to repurchase. A decent filler mask.

The Olio e Osso was a BIC Made Me Do It, and I am so glad I did. I am not usually a fan of shea butter, but it is so subtle in this that it is barely noticeable. I opted for the Persimmon which surprised me as it looked much darker in the swatches. It is pretty versatile and although I don’t think it would work as a blush it is a great balm that lasts longer than I would expect a natural product to last.

Finally, the Chanel Le Lift Skin-Recovery Sleep Mask is a lightly-fragranced, slightly opaque gel that absorbs quickly. It feels like it delivers a sufficient drink of moisture after application, but may leave it wanting by morning. This seems to be enough hydration for summer, though in winter my skin might need something stronger.

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@eshoe, lots of multi-masking. The Topicals on sounds really good. You said something about a just getting it done mask: is using a sheet mask a regular part of your skincare regimen?

Re: πŸ’•πŸ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge πŸ˜ŒπŸ’–

@nuinui933 yes, most nights I sheet mask. When I don’t, it feels like there is something missing πŸ˜„ If I am too tired, I usually skip a wash-off and just go for the sheet mask.
