Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights ๐ฎ
January | Fresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings. |
February | Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC. |
March | March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please! |
April | Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights. |
May | Dew Drops - May Day lore says to wash your face in the dew you collect in the morning of the first day of May for radiant skin. This month is for absorbing all of that good-for-you H2O. |
June | Summer Sunshine - Ice cream, sunglasses, SPF, check! Once the sun is down (or before it's up), extra care is most necessary. How do you give your skin cooling repair? |

Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
@itsfi yep! That's exactly what my thoughts are of the scent, I'd have to say when it comes to masks, I've had the best luck with the glam glow brand
@lmaster Yikes, I do get a little nervous when the bubbles come close to the eyes! ๐
I know! @PrettyPaint I always get nervous too, you never know where they will go
I love the artwork on this one, @lmaster. Unfortunately, it seems like the mask itself isnโt much of a performer. Bubble masks are at least entertaining!
@eshoe I loved that it was a pink sheet, and the scent is definitely starting to grow on me, just not as good as other bubble masks I've used
I got Youth To The People Superclay Purify + Clear Power Mask with Niacinamide 2.0 oz/ 60 mL as a GWP, and tried it that very night. I was surprised by the texture, as it was more silky than even my CLINIQUE Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask 3.4 oz/ 100 mL . However, I found that to be a disadvantage because it was slippery when applying, and I found that I had to go over areas more than once in order to get opaque coverage.
It dried down quickly enough. I thought it was going to be like The INKEY List Kaolin Mask 1.7 oz/ 50 mL in that it'd turn more translucent when it was done doing it's thing. Instead, it just kinda looked like grayscale from GOT! This is the first clay mask I've had that I felt a little uncomfortable with the dry down. My skin got too dry and itchy. (I will say that I had used a clay mask the night before, which I've never done before - I was just so anxious to try YTTP.) I also found it a smidge difficult to wash off.
The next day, my skin didn't look any better. It's been so hot and my skin's been so greasy, so it was a real let down. My skin generally looks more "clean" after using my fave clay mask, innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mask 3.38 oz/ 100 mL . I really don't think I'll reach for the YTTP again.
@greeneyedgirl107 I've wondered about the YTTP mask. Doesn't sound like I'm missing much! Sorry to hear it was disappointing!
@greeneyedgirl107 darn thatโs a total letdown. Iโm actually a huge fan of clay masks I find they really help my skin. Good to know this wasnโt a winner. Iโve been curious to try it.
@greeneyedgirl107 Sorry about the itchiness. I actually bought this one but haven't tried it yet.
Thanks for the review on the YTTP, @greeneyedgirl107. I was wondering how it would compare to some of the other clay masks, so this helps!
Ahhh, bummer about the YTTP, @greeneyedgirl107. I was thinking a silicone brush applicator might help, but as I continued to read, realized that not using it at all might help even more. The innisfree is quite soft. I recently tried the Chantecaille detox mask and it did not dry down at all, it was extremely comfy.
Thanks for the review!! I love the innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mask 3.38 oz/ 100 mL too
That is disappointing the clay mask didnโt work for you @greeneyedgirl107 - I donโt like the super tight itchy ones either
@greeneyedgirl107, love that Innisfree clay mask! ๐ It's a staple for me, and this time of year, I'm upping my use from 1x per week to 2-3x depending on how oily I get. Good to know about the YTTP; I was curious about it, but it doesn't sound like I need to run out to try it.
E is for Extreme
โ
@lmaster It sounds like the best part about this mask was the material. Sorry to hear this one was a bummer!
@Shosh85 exactly!! The material was definitely the best part ๐
Darn itโs to bad it didnโt preform with extreme results @lmaster
@ather it was an EXTREME disappointment lol
@lmaster Sounds kinda messy. Hopefully it was at least a little refreshing.
@PrettyPaint it was different that's for sure ๐
