Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐Ÿ’—

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

It took me a while to get into a habit of reapplying the oil, but I feel like it's helped some, @missjeanie - less dry patches on certain areas of my face. Good luck and I hope it helps!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi   My favorite ingrรฉdient right now:).

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Itโ€™s quickly becoming mine as well @heartsmyface! ๐Ÿ˜

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi   I hope itโ€™s been helping you with the mask sensitivity.  It has been for me.  Almost no redness save for a bit on the edges of my nose.  Iโ€™m kicking myself for not thinking basic ingredients sooner cause it was so sore.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@heartsmyface, oils seem to be saving my face, with horse oil and marula oil really working overtime. Thank you, thank you!! I was doing really well except for a blip last week which has lead to some redness again, so I'm resetting and my skin has been responding happily to it. ๐Ÿ˜ I may need to stock up on more horse oil and pick up some marula oil during the sale.

Completely agree with a back to basics routine or sticking with basic ingredients. I have a pretty pared down AM routine now, and my PM one is fairly simple and straightforward as well, but has a few extra serums, essences, etc. off to the side if I need to deal with a specific skin condition. This actually helped with my decluttering skincare - if I have a backup of anything that I'm currently using that isn't spectacular, it automatically gets donated or gifted; even if it's a good but not great product; no if, ands or buts about it . . . well, none have come up so far. lol

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

I got a giggle out of this yesterday and had to share!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@missjeanie  Hahaha! I remembered it was the 1st, but was totally forgetting the holiday associated with it ๐Ÿ˜‚ It took me a second to figure out what was going on here ๐Ÿคฃ

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

I think this year was a pretty tame April fools @Shosh85 , I saw a few cute posts on social media, but nothing too outlandish.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@missjeanie @eshoe that is great!!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

WoW. Lol @eshoe  I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve ever seen this but now that I have itโ€™s gonna have to be a DIY at some point lol

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@missjeanie   Ha, this wouldnโ€™t work cause Iโ€™d just eat it.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@heartsmyface needs some of the skin food raspberry jam wash off to go with!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@missjeanie, since they were OOS when I tried to order it  yesterday, I just decided to grab a jar of JIF from the pantry . . . hahahaha! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

I've heard that peanut oil is wonderfully moisturizing @itsfi , good on you for going for the DIY when such a hot product is sold out so quick! lol

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

We have to do what we have to do @missjeanie! Protein is good for the skin. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Iโ€™m very committed to caring for my skin! ๐Ÿ˜

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

N is for natural

N - natural rosemary.jpg

Spoiler
Current Skin Type / Condition: Dehydrated and very dry, more so than typical for this time of the year. Sensitive under eyes and cheeks. Discoloration from acne scars and PIH.

Mask: Simple Note Organic Rosemary Sheet Mask

Claim(s): Moisturizing and plumping. 98% natural origin ingredients

Material: 100% pure Japanese cotton; I'd say it's medium-thick in terms of heft.

Adherence: Good

Fit: Not too bad. Width was great for me; narrower than most sheet masks. Plenty of material at forehead, also great for me. About half an inch too short at the chin. Lots of material in the area above the upper lip - the most of any sheet masks I've used. Same for the material between the eyes, but in this area, there are definitely masks out there that are more oversized than this one. Cut outs for eyes are a bit oddly shaped in that they're less oval in shape and more resembling a rounded half square domed shape.

Essence: Typical of what I expect from a sheet mask - clear liquid essence with a very slight viscosity to it. Scent was more fruity and minty; very, very light. I didn't specifically pick up any rosemary scent which I was a little bummed about.

Performance & Results: Instructions call for leaving the mask on for 5-10 minutes. I may have gotten to 5 minutes with this one - it was longer than a few minutes. If I experience tingling with a sheet mask, it's usually minimal and not very long. While the tingling from this mask wasn't overbearing with this mask, it was more noticeable than what I usually experience or was comfortable with, both in terms of duration and degree of tingling. Ingredients on the reverse side are in Japanese so I couldn't make out what might be the culprit for the tingling sensation. My cheeks looked a bit red all over after removing the mask - it was definitely more than just a flush. The redness turned more pink and eventually faded away overnight.

Best Suited For: Those who do not have sensitive skin.

Will I Repurchase?: No. (another N)

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi  Boo! Sorry to hear this one caused a bad reaction aaand that it didn't even smell rosemary ๐Ÿ˜ข

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

I know @Shosh85!! Double whammy!! Boo! ๐Ÿ‘Ž At least I had my rosemary sprigs I could smell! ๐Ÿ˜€

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Eek, sorry about the irritation from this mask, @itsfi. Thankful to hear it didn't last more than a day, though!
