Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
@itsfi Yup, I would definitely consider these good filler/eveyday masks.... except for the ones that have alcohol- couldn't do that daily ๐
Funny enough I almost used this one last night, @Shosh85 - but it was snubbed over once again๐ I am more inclined to use it now that I know it has a milky serum. Go figure! More and more, it seems like the ones that get picked over are the ones that should be used.
@eshoe I agree! More than half the time the ones I snub are ones I end up liking! Milky serum is always a big selling point for me too ๐๐
I is for โI didnโt know this was an overnight maskโ. Iโve had this Etude House Body Spot Patch pack for a while and decided to see what the deal was with it. It comes with two packs of three different sized bandaid looking patches.
from the website:
This soothing spot patch provides you with intensive care for problem skin areas of your whole body at any time. The product has a mild analgesic effect.
Etude House Body Spot Patch contains arginine, salicylic acid, Baikal skullcap (scutellaria baicalensis) extract, peony root extract, licorice extract, madecassoside, and more.
One of the productโs key ingredients, madecassoside, helps to restore the synthesis of collagen and elastic fibers. Known for its depigmenting, regenerating and softening properties, madecassoside facilitates the healing and regeneration processes in your skin due to the regulation of keratinocytes. Because of this fiber-regenerating ability, madecassoside is capable of reducing deep wrinkles and providing a medium-term lifting effect.
The package contains 3 sets of spot patch of different sizes.
HOW TO USE
Remove the protective film from the patch and attach the patch onto a problem area for 12 hours. Use the spot patch both during the day and at night.
yeah I wish I had of read it was an overnight commitment before placing the bandages randomly all over the place but okay Iโm willing to stick it out. Iโve got two small ones on my knuckles (for wrinkle science) and the rest are on my chest and dry areas of my face.
i love the cute design on thรฉ patches. They smell mรฉdicinal - like a doctors office. I suppose Iโll report back in the morning:)
โ
โ
@heartsmyface Love you put them on your knuckles for wrinkle science.
Update- overnight a few of the patches came off but where they stayed on my face feels the most hydrated itโs ever felt and the discomfort around my nose is gone! They werenโt kidding when they said there was a gentle analgesic effect. I have no discomfort but Iโm not numb. I would completely believe there was lidocaine in these if I hadnโt already read the ingredients.
Where I was wearing the patches there was definitely brightening. Thereโs a rectangle of lighter skin on my chest. I hope itโs temporary. I like these!!! The inside completely melted down with my body heat and absorbed overnight. Theyโre much thinner this morning. Iโm feeling like these may have been made for fading scars or something and I have been interpreting โspotsโ as dry patches. That may explain all the mini ones! Theyโd perhaps be excellent for acne scarring. Or maybe itโs for both scarring and wrinkles. I have to hunt more of these down if I can cause I want to try them out on my husband.
Edit- I thiiink these are now either rebranded as hydrocolloid trouble patches or theyโre not available for export? I just made an Etude house order to find out. They seem to have redesigned the packaging on everything I love anyway so an order was due.
@heartsmyface Oh darn!!!! I was thinking to myself I could really use them to help a few scars!!!
@ather Mederma advanced scar gel is the best! it fades and smooths old and new scars!!
@heartsmyface Thanks!! Iโll have to see if I can find it!
@heartsmyface these look and sound remarkable!!
@heartsmyface Oh my goodness, how cute are those?! They look/sound so great! It's too bad you can't track down more!
@heartsmyface Ooh these sound really good! I love your I reasoning and the random placements haha. Can't wait to hear about the ones you ordered.
@heartsmyface, ooouuh, these sound like they could be perfect for fading acne scars, dark spots and PIH. ๐ *adding these to the list
wait ... did you say you think the packaging is a redesign? Hmmm, maybe I should check my stash first to see if I have the older model. lol ๐
@itsfi Upon more investigation I donโt believe theyโre the same. My husband will appreciate them either way but the hydrocolloid ones look to be to treat the acne itself. These are diffรฉrent. if theyโre as medicinal as they smell maybe they werenโt cleared for export?
You're adorbs @heartsmyface! ๐ These patches look fun and the ingredients sound great! I can see these being perfect for travel (or at home these days). Will be interesting to hear whether these patches live up to their claims.
@heartsmyface @lol at that but this looks really interesting ! Canโt wait for your report back!
Hmmmm, tell me more about your polish, @heartsmyface!
@eshoe Ha i was in the middle of applying it when I realized I had to leave these masks on. Itโs Missed Shift by Holo Taco. Awesome itโs getting attention and it hasnโt even dried down completely! Itโs hard to capture the shift but it goes from purple to navy to green. Ignore the knuckle sticker (itโs not gonna last the night) but I think I got it!
โ
I noticed the knuckle patch and thought hmmmmmm I guess knuckles need love too, right @heartsmyface?
Holo Taco. Love the name and holos are my favorite polishes. They seem to be easier to remove, which I also like. Ok gonna check that one out!
@eshoe @Hahah, I was running out of dry areas and they seemed the right size for knuckles. They didnโt stay on my hands longer than two hours cause I am incapable of sitting and doing nothing fb but I have two very nice hydrated knuckles.
Then hydrated knuckles it is, @heartsmyface!
I found this whole avoiding sleep. Not sure this would be any more comfortable than the stick on ones.
