This year is going to be a little different - simplified. Easy. Every month will have a new theme, and that's it. Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Most importantly - have fun!

Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights 💮

I'm throwing this Christmas gift mask into the fray. Though not expired nor expiring, it was A+ for me! It has a creamy, moisturizing quality which left my my face feeling pampered, loved and moisturized. It's a win and I would not kick it out of my bathroom if it found its way back in again. ☺️

 

 no tackiness, just straight up nighttime routine love.

Hi @heartsmyface , I could not find info on the d:na aspect, but I did find this description of the mask:

"High moisturized creamy serum liquid based functional mask provides 19 types of amino acid - peptide and moisture; which recovers skin barriers and improves its function to lock the moisture into skin."

Definitely a win!

This is a good solid mask from Mediheal, @l8totheparty - I love this line! Happy to hear your skin did, too.

This Pokémon mask by Louisia isn’t actually very good.  The packaging is the real draw.  It’s super artificial rose perfumey.  I actually like the scent.  The mask is papery, too wide (I realize jiggly puff is wide but come on now) and has ears that refuse not to flop down.  I had to put a head band on so it stayed outta my hair. It’s got some cute factor and I don’t regret the purchase cause Pokémon but they could have done way better with these.  This just reinforces for me that when things get licensed The quality of the actual product goes down. 
i already knew these weren’t the best so I’m using them as makeup primers to move them out.  It hydrates well enough for that.  Here’s  a photo that really captures the experience.

@haleyvvvv  Yeah, can’t win em all.  It’s not a complete dud cause it did moisturize my face enough for makeup application.  Just not a pleasant wear.

Looks like a mask for a Scottish fold, @heartsmyface. Cute but does not look the least bit comfortable!

@eshoe   Hahaha, it is!! 😂. I’m not sure what the purpose of the ears is supposed to be cause getting it in my hair made it look gross and unwashed.   If they made a Scottish gold cat mask with floppy ears I’d be all over that comfort or not!

An expired (oops!) mask from last week:

Somehow this sheet mask slipped past its expiration date, but i figured I would still give it a try. Thank you @ShortErica and @l8totheparty for a great theme to kick of the year! I had saved this (and two backups) for a rainy day 🤦🏻‍♀️

But first, my wash off mask. I tried the Leahlani Mermaid Mask last year, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The brand recently released a mask set including this one, so I made it one of my last buys of 2020. This mask is a very, very dark emerald in the jar, and feels like a thick paste. It mixed with a bit of water to thin, and covers the skin in a translucent algae-colored green. The scent is unique, a light almost-sweet fruit loop, but deeper. I notice the scent on and off while using, and it is pleasant. As in my previous experience with it, I did not experience any adverse effect, and gently rinsed after about 15 minutes. My skin felt soft, not the softest from a mask, but noticeable. LOTS of fruit oils/extracts, so I am going to be cautious with the frequency of this one in my routine.

The Galantry Step by Step Tone Up Mask has been reviewed before here, and approved by @lmaster as well☺️ Step one is a gentle peeling pad, followed by a well-fitting, slightly sheet mask-scented slip of a mask. I wore it for about 25 minutes before removing as it began to dry. One of the easiest two-step masks I’ve tried, wish I hadn’t let it expire! Lesson learned, every day is a special day💗

It felt like a very fancy masking session, @haleyvvvv! you would never know I found that sheet mask for $1 😂 Granted, it only had about six months before it expired, and it’s my own fault I missed that date, but still. What a deal!
