Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
It looks fun @ather, and I finally found a simple mask mold without the machine (which...whatever is that for, idk) for around $12. Looking forward to playing around with it, sounds like an experiment for the little ones, too๐
Wow, now that's interesting, @eshoe. It looks more effort than I'm willing to put in lol, but I'd be so curious to hear reviews on how it actually works out from anyone who does decide to pick one up. I can only imagine how easy it would be to create a mask that could irritating to skin though.
I think there is potential there, @quspork, but I am wondering just how much of a chemist you need to be to make something worthwhile. I mean...how does it stick together, and could I just use it to make jello masks? (Actually it appears there are lots of recipes for gelatin peel-off masks, so who knows๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ).
Whaaaaaa? I have not see it. @eshoe So intrigued. Does it have reusable or plain sheets that the fruit goes onto in the tray?
I havenโt looked into it further, @Weetart but I will update if itโs anything worth delving into. Iโm not completely sold on it yet!
@eshoe That is so cool. I never have seen such a thing. I'm definitely curious what the fit would be like from the mold.
In the back of my mind, I am thinking disaster @PrettyPaint- but it might be lots of fun, too!
@eshoe Oooh, that looks fun! ๐ I'd be curious to know how much fruit you'd need for one mask ๐ค
Me too, @Shosh85 , though I imagine you could use slices too, to make it look pretty ๐คฉ
lol @eshoe I've seen this advertised a few times in my social media feeds.... I was wondering how long it would take for someone here to take the plunge!
What were the reviews like, @missjeanie? It seems super-gimmicky, but I am so curious!
I didn't see any reviews @eshoe , just people saying that they were ordering it. I thought it could be fun to do with various serums you love, but it could also be as much 'work' as fun. The ads I saw had most people pouring orange juice into the machine to do a straight up OJ mask. I enjoy a good DIY, but I thought I'd be too lazy to ever actually use the machine. If I see it pop up again I'll take another look.
K-- I just said a whole bunch of sheet mask machine stuffs out loud, so I'm sure I'll start seeing ads anytime now. lol
Lol at the adverts, @missjeanie. Sad but true. Yeah I am thinking of looking for some type of mold, I really cannot fathom a magically adhering mask appearing out of some fresh squeezed oh and a collagen pill!
It seems like it would be fun, @Kim888, I am just trying to wrap my brain around how easy it would be to peel the mask out of the mold...I am foreseeing some major messes!
W is for watermelon. I also think Icing or The Icing would be a good band name ๐
A'pieu Watermelon Icing Sweet Bar Sheet Mask
This is a super thin and transparent cotton sheet mask that was soaking with serum and had a yummy watermelon scent. It didn't smell like fresh watermelons, more like a sweet/candy type of scent - pretty comparable to the GR Watermelon Mask. It had a good fit - just a little wide at the forehead and the mouth and eye holes were a little too small. I took it off after about a half hour. When I removed it there was still some slightly tacky serum on my face, but it absorbed within minutes. My face looked less dull and slightly brighter, my skin felt soft and smooth and stayed hydrated for quite sometime. This is one I really enjoy and will definitely continue to repurchase! ๐๐
@Shosh85 This mask sounds wonderful!! To bad the scent wasnโt a little more watermelony
@Shosh85 I like "The Icing" as a band name! ๐ I recall trying a yellow version of this line (maybe lemon or something), but the watermelon sounds much yummier! ๐
@PrettyPaint There isn't a lemon one in this line, so it must've been pineapple ๐๐๐ That one has a pretty delicious scent too! ๐
PS: I love the creative theme!
