Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐Ÿ’—

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I know I can be picky about scents like I don't like tea tree at all so maybe someone else would appreciate it @Shosh85. I was hoping for honey with whatever snail is (usually I feel they do some floral fragrance with it). Now I want to compare them for results. I've been not analyzing my before and after faces as much as I used to.

And yeah, I was so not expecting that scent for the donkey one. I'll be interested in what you think.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Missha Real Solution Tencel Sheet mask featuring Glutathione that claims โ€œPure Whitening.โ€ Hard to tell about the brighter skin claim, other parts of my routine already successfully have been handling that. But it felt nice. Soooo much serum, enough for tattoos etc. It suggested 10-20 minutes. Can certainly stay on longer. But I was in a rush. I recommend. Left my skin soaked and the tackiness when away with a little pat pat here and there.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Ooooh, a Tencel fiber sheet mask @Weetart? It sounds wonderful. ๐Ÿ˜ I used a daily sheet mask pack that had hyaluronic acid and glutathione as the key ingredients and really liked it. *adding this one to my list of masks to try.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi Yup yup! It's a great one and great ingredient combo for sure. So, did you include that daily sheet mask pack on the thread? There are so many posts I miss quite a few. I've been using the Murad Age spot remover to even out the skin tone at a faster rate... working like a charm. so I've been really careful mask wise. Buuuut. That sounds like something I'd be way into after I'm done with it.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Weetart, I used that particular daily sheet mask pack a year ago - A'Pieu Hyaluthione Soonsoo Daily Sheet. It looks like it's out of stock in most places but you can sign up for notification of any restock at sokoglam (dot) com. At the time, I didn't know what "hyaluthione" meant but now I know if it's a combination of the ingredients hyaluronic acid and glutathione. Good grief! I was slow on the uptake with that one! ๐Ÿ˜†

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

This mask sounds wonderful, @Weetart. Missha makes some very nice-fitting ones!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Agreed. @eshoe Missha/A'pieu has 40% off some good masks right now. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Good to know, @Weetart! Iโ€™ve only ordered from them once before, the shipping took quite awhile if I remember correctly. Itโ€™s so hard to be patient when you are excited for something:)

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Weetart I'm always in for a brightening mask.  I've been super curious about the brand as well so I'm happy to see your review here.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@missjeanie

40% off their brand site for many great things right now ๐Ÿ˜‰

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Weetart Good news and bad news here... Bad news; the sale isn't on the Canadian version of the site.  Good news; they have a Canadian version of the site!  Gonna need to peruse the site for a wee bit now!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Weetart  I've really liked the masks I've tried from this line, it's just a bummer they have alcohol denat so high up in the ingredients. Happy to hear this one turned out great! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Shosh85 yeah, it is challenging for good solvents for skincare. Benefits and drawbacks to so many. But I am a Missha/A'pieu brand fan. Not too many product lines of theirs I haven't tried at least one product.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Weetart  I haven't tried too many Missha products yet, but I have loved the A'pieu masks I've tried! The Icing Sweet Bar and Milk masks are my favorite!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Weetart ohhhh this is a mask I've not seen!! You have a great variety in your collection

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@lmaster hah thanks! I go on the brand sites and buy one of each when there is a sale. Sometimes I never find them again.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

G is for Goat Milk
jmsolution goat milk mask.jpg

Spoiler
The essence in this JMsolution Goat Milk New Zealand + Australia Mask Black has more of the traditional, slightly viscous, liquidy consistency found in most sheet masks than a creamy, milky one I had expected. You can see the milkiness of the essence but it is watered down. This super thin mask holds a lot of essence - I mean, a lot. It definitely felt like it was drenched in the essence, but at the same time, I did not experience any dripping from the mask. The essence itself had a subtle fermented scent to it, maybe a slightly goat milk lotion scent; it did not linger. Adherence was fantastic; in fact, part way through my wear time (and I don't think I was imagining this), I felt the mask clinging even more firmly to my skin, in a good way. Save for some minor snips to the corners of the mouth and eyes, the fit on this one was near perfect, both length- and width-wise. ๐Ÿ˜ Yaay!

Directions called for 10-20 minutes of wear, but I kept with my standard MO of 30 minutes - there was so much essence in this mask I probably could have left it on for at least another 30, maybe even 40 minutes. There's a slight tacky feeling to the skin even when the essence has been fully absorbed. It's not an issue for me as disappears after I follow up with my moisturizer. If I didn't already have a few backups of this mask, I would quickly repurchase as my skin (which is leaning more and more on the dry side as we inch closer and closer to winter) feels hydrated and nourished after using this mask. The hydration lasted overnight as well - I didn't see any dry spots the next morning. ๐Ÿ˜

NOTE: I'm not sure why this mask references "black" - I initially assumed it might be a charcoal bamboo sheet mask, but nope, that's not it. Maybe black goats from New Zealand and Australia? I dunno. Any thoughts? ๐Ÿค”

My Two Cents: If your skin leans dry or dehydrated or is feeling particularly parched, this'll give it a much needed boost of hydration and moisture! Except perhaps in the deepest part of winter, those with normal, combo or oily skin will likely find the amount of essence in this mask to be too much without some adjustments (i.e., squeezing out some of the essence, not leaving the mask on for the full duration recommended).

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi love the theme of the mask. Sounds great for winter skin for sure.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

That description sounds lovely and also leaves me perplexed, @itsfi. The black notation makes me think maybe silt? I did see whitening goat milk masks, but Iโ€™m stumped๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Silt @eshoe? I don't think I saw that in the inci list but I just skimmed it quickly. I'll have to search for other names for that and comb through the list more closely when I have more time.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

This entire mask sounds delightful @itsfi !  I always worry with watery serums that they'll be drippy but it's so nice when everything comes together like this.
