Welcome to the 2024 Masking Challenge!

This year is going to be a little different - simplified. Easy. Every month will have a new theme, and that's it. Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Most importantly - have fun!

March Madness
 - Competition is in the air. Find a worthy dupe of a 💰mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please!

Spoiler
JanuaryFresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings.
FebruaryWinter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC.
MarchMarch Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please!
AprilSpring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights.
MayDew Drops - May Day lore says to wash your face in the dew you collect in the morning of the first day of May for radiant skin. This month is for absorbing all of that good-for-you H2O.
JuneSummer Sunshine - Ice cream, sunglasses, SPF, check! Once the sun is down (or before it's up), extra care is most necessary. How do you give your skin cooling repair?

Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks💗

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Me too, @lmaster. It’s all about the adventure, doesn’t matter if they are good or bad☺️

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@eshoe  Too bad you don’t have thoughts on the YTTP I’ve been debating it for a bit. I might have to see if I have a sample. I totally agree with you about serums. A few years ago I didn’t use them but now I can’t get enough!!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@atherI guess as much as I love physical exfoliatants, I realize they are not a good match for my normal/dry skin. I love them, but tend to overuse them as a result. The granules in this one are small, but noticeably rough. If your skin can handle it, this might be a brilliant fit for you. It’s fun to use and I love the brand overall; the Youth To The People Superfood Air-Whip Lightweight Face Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid 2 oz / 59 m... is my all-time favorite daytime moisturizer.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@eshoe  In the summer I might be able to get away with a physical exfoliate but in the winter I think I am to dry!! I will definitely check that moisturizer out!! Thank you!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

I love that MOtM allows us to try something we might not want to purchase ourselves. This sounds nice @eshoe. Hope your face calms down. I've been having some blemish issues too. Ugh!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Yes @ShortErica I’ve had fun trying new masks. They haven’t always panned out, but isn’t that how it works, at least in part? It’s the most fun trying them, if they aren’t a god fit, then I just know what I don’t like/need 🙂

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@eshoe  All three steps on this one sound pretty decent! I'm happy MOTM gave you a chance to try it out! 😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

They were good, @Shosh85! I’ve been using the Missha Time Revolution and along with the CosRx, they have helped me see what a difference an essence can make in plumping the skin. 3 step masks used to seem like a lot of work, but I kinda don’t mind them anymore🤷🏻‍♀️

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@eshoe  Glad you're enjoying the CosRX! I'm lovin' the stringy-sliminess of the snail products! 😉🐌

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Me too, @Shosh85. It’s kind of a game, if I can apply it to both cheeks without a thread leaving its mark across my face😝

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

My favorite multi-step mask: Ole's Power Bright

IMG_20200827_143608.jpg

This is one I usually save for special occasions but I figure making it to the end of August in the year 2020 is reason enough to celebrate these days! I know a lot of us have used and love this 3-step system so I won't spend too much time on it, but it's still hands down one my favorite masks for bright, baby soft skin. Perfect before a night out or a special event. It's a shame OH seems to have stopped selling it here and through their site, but luckily you can still find the set at Marshall's and TJMaxx fairly often - and thanks to that I have plenty in the stash!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Absolutely, @quspork this is a major love!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

It's such a good mask, @lmaster!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@quspork  Tooo bad they stopped selling it 🤔

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

It's a sad thing indeed, @ather. It really is one of my favorites of all time, so it's such a shame to see it discontinued.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

I just posted that I don't have any 3 step masks and I do have this one but haven't tried it yet. I picked mine up at Marshalls or TJ Maxx too. Glad to hear more love for this one @quspork! Do you get multiple uses out of it? I feel like that was something I remember reading.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

I think several people here do divide up the cups for a couple of uses, but honestly I just slather everything on for a single use per pack, @ShortErica. I hope you enjoy it when you try it!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Oh my goodness, @quspork - you aren’t kidding! It’s hard to believe we are nearing holiday season already 😳 Good for you for making a celebration out of an ordinary day:)

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

This has been a crazy year, @eshoe. I can't believe tomorrow is September!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

YES @quspork 🍂🌾!!! Fall already 🍁

Speaking of, love the leaves you included with your surprise mail last year, I saved them in order to use them for decorating and projects this year. Little did I know how special and how far-reaching your kindness would be☺️

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@eshoe !!! That brings such a smile to my face, you have no idea. I'm glad you can find a use for them and get to enjoy them!
