Spoiler

To Post:

Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas.

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi In this mask, seeing the star ingredient in 11th place doesn't bother me much, thanks to Q10's efficacy at lower percentages. It'd be nice to see it higher up, of course, but I know I'm still getting plenty of benefit from this ingredient anyway. That said, there are probably masks out there containing a higher percentage of Q10 in the $4-6 USD range.

I'm bad at rotating my masks, too. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ Well, except most of my LuLuLun 7-sheet packs: I keep them laying flat and flip them 1-3 times a month. But rotating all the others is a chore. I find I don't have to worry much about any masks except the multi-sheet LuLuLuns and cream serum masks, and I usually massage cream mask sleeves anyway before use. I just don't always do a good enough job at it. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@WinglessOne, that's a good systems for mask rotation you have. It's a work in progress for me, but I've gotten better at it recently. The only consistent method I have so far is to flip the masks for the week upside down when I put them in my mini fridge. I probably remember to massage every other or every third mask I use. Baby steps.

Loving that you seen the firming claims! @WinglessOne

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

For multi-step week: Jayjun Anti-dust Therapy Mask

This three-step routine touts its clarifying and brightening components, calling out the ingredients of peony root and centella asiatica. This is one of those you'd probably get the best results from if you used it consistently. It contains a cleanser as step 1, the mask itself, and then a cream as the final step, number 3.

The cleanser was a thick cream cleanser that quickly foamed up once wet. It had a fresh soapy smell and left my skin feeling a little stripped. I didn't mind it in this one instance, but I wouldn't use this on a regular basis. After rinsing, I opened up the mask. Super fun here- it's a neon green cotton sheet. I mean GREEN. I was overall very pleased with the mask. It was a tight cotton weave that's incredibly comfortable on. The fit and adherence were pretty good and it was very saturated in serum. It did have a citrusy scent that almost reminded me of Pledge dust cleanser, but more pleasant? I didn't mind it at all. The sheet stayed moistened for a good 30 minutes and upon removal left just the slightest of tack. My skin felt particularly hydrated, but there's were any other noticeable results. The final step was a thick cream moisturizer. This was much heavier than I would normally use since I lean more oily. It took a while for it to sink in.

All in all, I enjoyed the actual mask part and would possibly purchase it again in the future, but I'd definitely skip step 3 and just use my own moisturizer.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

I โค๏ธ this mask, @quspork! Sorry the moisturizer didnโ€™t work out for you, though.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

The mask itself was definitely enjoyable, @eshoe. I'm sure the moisturizer was more of a "it's not you, it's me" thing ๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@quspork  Neon green wow such a fun mask colour!! Too bad the final cream was too thick maybe its better for the colder months?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

For me it would probably still be too much, @ather but for those with dry skin, it might work a bit better!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Super pretty packaging! @quspork wonder if they just sell this particular mask by itself

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@lmaster @quspork, I would be on board with the brand selling the sheet masks from their masks packs separately. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

โ€œDear JayJun . . .โ€

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Now that I could get behind, @itsfi @lmaster. If it was just the mask itself it'd almost certainly go on the purchase list. With the other stuff, it's an eh, maybe for a good sale.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@quspork, I did a JayJun 3-step mask the other night and the sheet mask was also the best part of the 3-step system.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

A popular brand choice for multi-step week @itsfi ๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@quspork I'm glad you enjoyed the maskโ€”well, step 2 anyway!

I had planned to use this and other 3-step JayJun masks this week, though there's usually at least one step of them I can't use. This particular one's not new to me, so I know what you mean about the fun green sheet. ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

The green was a fun little surprise, @WinglessOne

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@quspork  A fun green mask with pretty packaging sure makes a nice touch! Glad at least the mask turned out great! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

I looked like an alien with the mask on, @Shosh85 but the mask itself seemed worth it!

โ€ƒThis overnight mask was courtesy of @eshoe ! I got 3 nights use out of it, and it left my skin feeling beautifully soft and supple. How perfect! It is so cute- with a little spatula,  and egg. It would make a lovely addition to a stocking, and I will search it out after I work through some of my other overnight moisturizers! Thanks again friend ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Šโค

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@l8totheparty so happy it did well for your skin! I had mine that @heartsmyface graciously sent my way for nearly a year before I used it. It was just too cute!!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@l8totheparty  These are so cute. Glad it worked well for you!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

That looks adorable and those results sound great, especially 3 nights of results @l8totheparty!
