Welcome ❄️💖 February, and the second month of the 2021 challenge!
Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks💗 Post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcome.
This Week’s Theme: Snubbed It! Masks you don’t want to use & are continually passed over. Thank you @ShortErica for a theme that is sure to help clear out the mask bin;)
Letter of the Week: I
Mask of the Week Misc. Info & Previous Year's Links:
To Post:
Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas.
Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.
Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

I do, I do!! I bought a few more since then @ShortErica
@lmaster I think after my spree last year I kinda hope for finding 5 packs vs 10 packs. That way I have some to try and share but am not overwhelmed. Glad to hear you have more on back up.
I absolutely understand that! @ShortErica
The masks from this Leaders line are nice @lmaster! 💕 There’s a nourishing honey / propolis one (black packaging) that your skin may like during the colder months. 🍯
I'll have to check that one out! @itsfi
(and a jump start on next week's "sheet mask focus" challenge)
@itsfi I love your strategy for blind picking! Looks/sounds like you picked a great trio! It's funny, "a soft warm embrace," is also how I'd describe the Honey Potion 😉 Glad you had such a nice masking session!
Oh my goodness, yes!! You’re so right about the Farmacy honey potion @Shosh85! 🍯💛 I really love that mask. It’s so good.
The “blind pick” challenge is such a fun one, but my skin can be so picky at times (or all the time, really), and it is especially that way now, that I can’t just go into my stash at random to pick one out. It should be easier to do going forward with the new sheet mask organization system I have in mind, but that may mean no more “creative” ways to picking out a mask.
@itsfi "a soft warm embrace" 🤗 love that description
It feels so nice @lmaster! ♥️ “Blanket”, “hug”, “warm embrace”, etc. - they’re my way of conveying calming, cozy comfort. 😍
Have you tried the your peace. Lanseal sheet masks?
The material on the your peace. ones are so much thicker; I’d liken the feel to that “ahhhh” that comes after climbing into bed and pulling a plush but weighted blanket over you - relaxing. The Dr. Belmeur is a lot thinner and instead of feeling like a weighted blanket, it’s more like the throw you toss over yourself before hopping on the couch with a cup of tea or cocoa - calming and comforting.
@itsfi yes I have and they are the most luxurious mask I've tried to date!
@itsfi great masking - the briogeo hair mask is always so great!
Agree @Kim888! My favorite of the Briogeo hair mask is the LE honey one in the bear packaging. 🍯 🐻 This one is a solid “go to”. Have you tried the new Briogeo avocado hair mask? 🥑
My mask from last week. It was ok, not the best and not the worst.
@Samtian I've tried a few masks from this line (including this one) and kinda thought they were all just "meh." Sorry to hear this one was unimpressive for you!
@Shosh85 That is good to know, thank you.
@Samtian, hmmm... “meh” is better than “nooooo!!” 😉 Sorry to hear this wasn’t a wow for you. Guess you’ll just have to keep trying other propolis masks to find one that is. 😆
@itsfi Yep! I'm not sure if I have anymore, I'll have to check.
This one looks familiar @Samtian I can't recall if it smells like honey
