To Post:

Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas.

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

You're using some masks that I love @haleyvvvv !  The PTR Pumpkin is one I really enjoy, I must have tough skin though, I tend to leave mine on for at least 15 minutes before enjoying the scrub action.  I do have the PTR Cucmber, but found it to be just meh, nothing bad, but nothing great either.  And the Origins Avocado and Swiss glacier water one reminds me of powdered iced tea every time I put it on.  It's my favourite product from Origins!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

I love the Origins mask, it is definitely one of my favorite of theirs, glad to see others enjoy it. I want to try the Origins Drink Upโ„ข 10 Minute Hydrating Mask with Apricot & Swiss Glacier Water 2.5 oz/ 75 mL after my exfoliator but I have SO many masks. @missjeanie

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

I hear you on so many masks @haleyvvvv ! Iโ€™ve had that one on my list to try out sometime as well!

@missjeanie I MADE my hubs sniff. he was hesitant until I told him I would bathe in it. he agreed that it smelled wonderful. I used the extra in the pouch on my chest, shoulders & legs๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Yes, yes, yes!! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ This is such a fabulous mask, isnโ€™t it @sonnydee?!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ One of my favorite aloe masks! ๐Ÿ’š I loved this mask so much that I purchased the aloe-honey eye gels from the brand. โ˜บ๏ธ

Re: I just saw those @itsfi might have to pick those up!

Ummm.... @sonnydee, I say, dooooo it!!! Heeheehee! ๐Ÿคฃ
I told myself to save โ€˜em until September / October when we get our late summer, but I may just work them into the routine
now and pick up another jar later. ๐Ÿ˜†

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@sonnydee  I still can't believe you found boxes of Merbliss masks at TJ Maxx, and this reminds me to check my local TJ locations. Of all the Merbliss Wedding Dress varieties, this is the one I'd try (based on ingredients). I'm so happy these worked wonderfully for you (well, minus the pilling)โ€”and you've got boxes stocked up!

found some boxes on amazon @WinglessOne not the same prices as TJ but not bad. ๐Ÿค—

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

E is for Etude House and V is for viola mandshurica flower extract (violet extract)
Etude House Jewel Beam Gel Mask Twinkling Diamond is a clear, thin, 2-piece hydrogel mask with a gauze-like pattern and scattered sparkles throughout. It's infused with a very soft, citrus-floral scented essence-serum that absorbs quickly and easily into the skin. There's extra in the packet to layer beneath or atop the hydrogel or for use on other parts of the body. This is one of the best designed hydrogel masks I've used in terms of fit and adherence. ๐Ÿ‘ This mask claims to hydrate and moisturize the skin and my skin did feel nourished afterwards, with a bounce and fresh-faced look to it. A very lovely mask that I would happily use again. ๐Ÿ˜€ More details in the spoiler. I wasn't able to find the inci list online, so I typed it out - I think I got the spelling right; my spell check sure didn't think so. ๐Ÿคฃ
Fit, Wear & Feel
I was surprised that the mask was clear; I was expecting it to be silver. It's a very pretty looking mask and fits beautifully - it's not so thin and delicate that it tears easily, nor is it thick and stiff to make adherence a problem. This really could be a prototype for hydrogel masks. The sparkles do not transfer onto your skin. It's a bit large width-wise for my face, but that's pretty standard for most sheet mask. What is not typical, and I was pleasantly surprised by this - I did not have to make any incisions to the eye or mouth holes. Interestingly, the instructions recommend 20-40 minutes of wear time, which is longer than most masks call for. I can see that this mask might be worn for a longer duration. It feels quite soft, melds nicely to the skin and wears comfortably.  I was able to walk around the house and do a host of things without any concern for it slipping or falling off.
Claims, Notable Ingredients & Results
The mask claims to be hydrating and moisturizing and touts diamond powder, hyaluronic acid and ceramide as its notable ingredients. All of that sounds wonderful to me. Sadly, those notable ingredients appear near the bottom of the ingredients list, after added fragrance, no less. Even so, this is a very nice mask, both in terms of its aesthetics and its functionality. There's the slightest tack to the skin that wears off as all the essence is absorbed. My skin felt nourished and plump after removing the mask. Those with very oily skin might be able to get by with skipping moisturizer after this one, but for my dehydrated-combo skin, I needed at least a light moisturizer or sleeping mask.
There are 3 other masks in this line; I have 2 of the other ones and may track down the fourth at some point. This is a nice mask; not one that I'd consider a "must have", but it's definitely one that I would be happy to use and even one I'd consider repurchasing if I happened upon it in a store again.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@itsfi You had me at sparkles!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Right, @missjeanie?!!! If it said on the packaging that thereโ€™s sparkles in the mask I would have grabbed more, though maybe I should have known since itโ€™s called โ€œtwinklingโ€ diamond! ๐Ÿ˜ I donโ€™t think the other versions (ie pearl, gold and ruby) have sparkles.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Oooh, I love hydrogel masks, I'll definitely have to check this out. Thank you for the insight, @itsfi!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@haleyvvvv, this mask reminded me why I like hydrogel masks!! ๐Ÿ’• I liked that there was extra serum in the packet! It also didnโ€™t hurt that the mask was sparkly. Hahaha! ๐Ÿ˜†

such a pretty mask @itsfi๐Ÿ’–
