Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@Samtian  A peach and watermelon mix sounds great! Happy to hear it turned out great for you! 🍑🍉

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

The fruit extracts look really high on the list. Curious it wasn't as scented as much as you would like @Samtian but at least you got good results.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@ShortErica Thanks! Haha yeah if it is a scent I love, I want to smell it strongly ten miles away.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

One of the masks for A / Z weeks ... A for A’Pieu and Z for zinc A’Pieu Cicative Zinc.jpeg

The soft, thin-ish cotton sheet mask is steeped in a thin, runny, milky-yet-watery essence consisting primarily (80%) of aloe leaf extract (the first ingredient listed!), wears comfortably and leaves my skin feeling soothed, hydrated and nourished. This is a fabulous mask for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and/or combination skin types. Those with oily skin might enjoy this one in the winter months. For me, this is a really lovely mask for a little T.L.C. and one I would happily use all year round.

Ingredients:

Spoiler
was drawn to the mask because of the name - cicative zinc. Zinc has done wonders for my complexion and this mask contains both zinc oxide and zinc PCA. I assumed the reference to cicative might mean centella asiatica was also included in the essence. While cica specifically is not one of the ingredients, this does contain asiaticoside and asiatic acid, which I learned are constituents of centella asiatica. Other notable ingredients include glycerin, niacinamide, mineral water, allantoin, madecassic acid, mugwort extract and olive oil.

Full Ingredients List (from yesstyle dot com😞
Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Mineral Water, Pentylene Glycol, Zinc Oxide (CI 77947), Zinc PCA, Allantoin, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Polysorbate 60, Artemisia Princeps Leaf Extract, Sorbitan Stearate, Hydroxyacetophenone, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Panthenol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Methylglucamine, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Adenosine, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Disodium EDTA, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Wow aloe first, @itsfi?! That is super impressive. Thank you for the info on centella asiatica, I learned something new today. I am not familiar with the benefits of zinc in skincare, time to study up on that, too;)

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

The ingredients list on the package is in Korean so I did a search online for it and was very happy and surprised to see aloe as the first ingredient listed. It’s great to have access to information re ingredients. @eshoe

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@itsfi ooohhhh this mask sounds really nice!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

It was @lmaster! I’m looking forward to trying the other two in the line.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@itsfi  So happy to hear this one turned out so great! I just bought this and the magnesium one and I'm excited to try them out! 😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@Shosh85, yay! I’m happy to hear you have these masks. I have the magnesium one and the other one in the line as well; I forget the spotlight ingredient but the packaging is white and pink.

The serum on this one is nice; made me think you and a couple others here might really like it. Am interested to hear how it works out for you.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@itsfi I ordered mine from Masksheets and they didn't have the calcium one - I'll definitely have to buy that one so I can experience the trifecta 😉

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

"Experience the trifecta"  hahaha! 🙂 Gotta do a legit assessment of the entire line, right @Shosh85? I think I picked these up through either YesStyle or at a local boutique sometime last year. I'm pleased I'm working through things that I picked up last year; makes me hopeful that the plan to whittle down my sheet mask stash by year end is a possibility. lol.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Last week for pet peeve week I used a Therawell steam eye mask in Hemp to help with my pet peeve of trouble falling asleep. This mask worked wonderful! I didn’t notice a strong scent, just felt really relaxed.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Ahhh yes that is an awful pet peeve, @emaisgr8! Happy this one is able to help you settle in and finally fall asleep 💤☺️

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@emaisgr8 this sounds really relaxing

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

@emaisgr8  I love steam eye masks! Glad it could help you fall asleep! 😴💤

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Ooo I still have to try the steam eye masks I have. I'm just not motivated with the summer heat. Glad to hear they did the trick to help you sleep @emaisgr8

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Steam eye masks are the best, aren’t they @emaisgr8?!! ♥️ I’m so sorry to hear you’re having a hard time falling asleep. 😞 I’ve found steam eye masks can be very helpful for that and am happy to hear that this one helped you to relax! 🤗

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

Thanks @itsfi

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge - PART II

PSA - the new Sephora Clean face and eye masks are now available online. A few of us received a face mask as part of a gratis box last month. Looks like there’s a new caffeine  eye mask! ️ 27B8F332-CF6D-4ED6-ABC3-C2CD814CCF65.png

Also, looks like the new clean line includes the lip balms and scrubs too! Two new flavors - peach 🍑 and cherry 🍒. Sadly I don’t see a honey 🍯 version. Hopefully, they come out with one. 🤞🏼
