Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@Kim888 I was embarrassed to post it, but if it helps someone else, then...definitely worth it. But a pretty unnecessary mistake🙄

@eshoe I'm sorry! .. I agree with the others that it might have been too much exfoliation and I know how painful that is! It burns on, it burns washing off, it keeps burning.. OUCH. That sounds like a lot with the surface dermaplane, GG, and then the protini smoothie with frambolic night serum AHA/BHA mix. I don't think the dermaplane plus everything helped, but I think the real culprit was the chemical exfoliation mixture. Both GG and the night serum have lactic acid and stacking them was likely too much. Recommend to lay off of treatments/acids etc for a few days and let your skin recover with some well known soothing products, oils, etc. 

If you want to keep using both, I'd recommend rotating every couple of days when you pick back up. If DE smoothie works great for you, maybe boot GG since you already have a product with it's ingredients in it? ETA side note: Since you mentioned baby facial-I'm not sure how you follow it, but I'd be cautious if you use it about using the DE night serum the day you use it too.

Ok thank you @CC3616-I knew you would be more knowledgeable than me about these things! Even though I know the Framboos has acids, I forgot. I wish there was a comparison chart for these things as I’m not that technical. 

I usually inly use the Babyfacial every other week, but I will skip it as I agree it would be too much right now. Thanks again:)

@eshoe I have always joked in the back of my head I should keep a post it note handy with what ingredients are in what.. but it really wouldn't be a bad idea especially since I've been trying more new things lately after keeping my routine fairly solid the last couple years! Plus it would make me be more aware, I had no idea that the tata harper regenerating cleanser was a BHA (or I didn't remember?) until I did my post the other day for the flash facial

And don't be embarrassed... It has happened to almost everyone experimenting with exfoliators and ingredients and it's how we all learn together!

This is such a great idea, @CC3616. I didn’t know that Tata has BHA either. I used to use it quite frequently, though now that I don’t have a FS anymore, I use my DS a little sparingly. That’s good to know. I’ve read articles on BHA’s and they seem  more fit to normal/oily skin than my dry skin, so maybe I shouldn’t even be using it.

I agree. A spreadsheet would be so helpful;)

My skin looks like nothing happened @missjeanie, however my foundation appeared a tiny bit cakey on my cheeks which is not the norm. I chalk it up to my poor masking choices😆

Ouch!!!  Glad your face is better this morning @eshoe! That would be way too much exfoliating for my skin. Sounds like the MD's Pick was a nice mask!!! 🙂

@veronika23 it just figures, after I mention how I overexfoliated last summer 🙄 Thankfully this was a single occurrence and I’m just going to lay off the heavy masking for a bit.

Oh, how fun to discover a new mask like this DHC one @itsfi! You’ve been on a roll with some intriguing mask shapes lately. Love the Detox Rocks mask, I really hope they make these permanent or at least the same type of ‘Limited Edition’ that the Cold Brew is;)

@eshoe, I'm finding a lot of new masks or new combination of masking with these challenges and since starting and prepping for my low buy. It's been a lot of fun to put together different combinations, or come up with a theme, and it's nice to discover new and interesting masks already in my stash! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Oh my goodness, YES!! I do hope the Hello Kitty collab masks and the cold brew masks are permanent - I can get behind that type of limited edition mask! LOL! 🙂

@itsfi it is really enjoyable for me to hear about all of the different things people come up with for our Seseme Street masking😄 You’re right, the low buy is helping me look to my stash more often than not, and it’s helping me to achieve the goals I set for myself. Win-win!!! 

Have you found the multi-packs of the Crème Shop Hello Kitty masks anywhere besides TJ Max/Marshall’s? I haven’t been able to find them online yet in anything other than single packs. and would prefer to buy a multipack🤔

@eshoe, I’ve only been able to find the mult-pack TCS-HK masks at TJ Maxx / Marshalls and even then, it was around the time the masks first launched and they were in limited supply - the store I went to only had 2 or 3 packs at a given time.

@itsfi oooh those Sanrio themed masks seem like a hit around here. I def need to pick some up. I will definitely look out for your review on the eye mask when you've had more time to try them. I love eye masks but yes, a little anxiety of putting them around the entire eye.
