Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Haha nice @CC3616!!! I just couldn't resist trying it. I usually splurge on a mask in the fall and this year it was this one. Well by the time I get to bed it's like half absorbed but half on too... it's slightly sticky at times when hitting the pillow. My pillow cases are dark so I don't see much but maybe a little bit gets on them. I'm always amazed when I wake up in the morning and see little pieces of blue goo all over my face. 😄

The jar for that mask is gorgeous and I love your photo @veronika23! 💙 Yikes, a 3-month shelf life?! This seems like a mask that could benefit from being sold in a smaller jar, because the results it gives sound wonderful!

It is right!!! I think the packaging and color had a bit to do with me buying it... I'm so bad! 😄  Thanks @itsfi! Yes a smaller jar would help. I'm trying to keep track of my use of it.

The packaging and color of the product made you buy it, @veronika23? That never happens to me. Hahahahaha!! 😂😂😂😂 I’ve lost count of how many items fall into that category. 🤪

Oooooooooh yes @veronika23, thank you! More so than the price, though, I’m really surprised about the short shelf-life. But that’s probably due to the natural ingredients I’m guessing?I don’t finish anything in 3 months so thank goodness my curiosity is now quieted😆

I wish with a product like this, smaller jars were available. But I think I feel that way about most products. That way there’s less waste. Thank you for tagging me!

Yeah the shelf-life really surprised me @eshoe! I think it's because of that too.

Yesterday afternoon masking: I tried the Creme Shop Turmeric Face Mask that @itsfi sent me ( Thanks Fi ! ). Turmeric in French is called Curcumin so I guess that I’m OK for this week’s C theme LOL 😂! This is a cotton sheet mask saturated with a lightly yellow colored serum because of the turmeric root powder it contains. However the mask didn’t smell like turmeric, it had a cheap perfume scent. The objectives of this mask is to correct discoloration, soothe acne ( not my case ), eczema and dryness. It also promises to combat wrinkles and age spots ( again not my case ). Despite a list of great ingredients ( see picture ) and using TO Buffet ( which is loaded with peptides and sodium hyaluronate ) upon removal my skin was dry and my skin tone went from light neutral to light yellow ( I looked like I was suffering from jaundice ! ). Because it didn’t deliver any of the results it claimed, I have to give this mask an F. I used the MILK MAKEUP - KUSH Lip Balmwhich contains hemp derived cannabis sativa oil + other great ingredients for dry lips. It has a slight minty fragrance but doesn’t taste like mint ( it has a sweet taste ). My lips were well moisturized ( I have a small crack on the side of my lips and the menthol in the Kush lip balm removed the slight pain that I had in that area ). The cover is magnetic, so is the case so this lip balm can be carried without worrying about the lid falling off. 💚💚💚

@keana1 I don't recall if I have that Turmeric mask or not, but just looking at the packaging, you'd think it'd be great! So sorry this was a dud for you! Don't want people thinking you have jaundice though! – hopefully it didn't turn your eyes yellow too! Haha!😂

That Milk Kush sounds wonderful! Another product I didn't know was out there! Thanks for sharing! I think I may have to check that one out! 🙌🤗

I was really excited to try this mask @Shosh85, it sounded great but didn’t deliver any of the promised results! I hope you’re feeling better now and that your migraine is over! Migraines are the worst! I used to have as many as 6-7 migraines in a month before taking a migraine prophylaxis med. I haven’t had a migraine since! I really hope that you don’t have as many migraines that I did before 🤞🏼!

@keana1 Oh man! 6-7 a month?! That's horrible! I get headaches pretty frequently, but migraines I only get about twice a year. I'm so glad you don't get them that much anymore! That's not a fun way to live! 😢

Oh no @keana1! I love turmeric, it'd be great to find one that worked well and didn't turn you the color of it too!

The color came off after double cleansing my skin in the evening @CC3616 ! So the discoloration lasts only for a few hours, at least I wasn’t going out!

Bummer about the sheet mask @keana, but it sure sounds like the Milk Kush was a winner! I’m a sucker for lip balms so will be checking this one out when I need to replace😊

I also have many lip balms @eshoe ! They’re scattered in every room, in my handbag and in my winter jacket. Some,I don’t even remember where I stashed them! I’m like a squirrel 🐿 when they stash their nuts in the ground before winter! 😂 My lipcare products ! These are the ones that I was able to find!

It’s a local brand called Dans un Jardin @eshoe . It has such a great yummy smell ( peach/apricot ) !

These yummy scented lip balms are getting harder to find IMO ! Unless they’re for children ( in those cute childlike animal containers! ) @eshoe . You can still get them but keep them at home ( it’ll be your own secret LOL 😂 ) . I’m sure Little Masker would keep them for herself!
