Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Have you tried the Collagen Firming one and if so, how would you compare it and the Anti-Wrinkle one @scott1201? Does it have a scent?

Also great job daily masking! I'm having a hard time some weeks finding one day for "me" time so seeing you and others post daily masking is very motivating.

Oh that’s super sweet @ShortErica, thanks for saying that! Honestly, after I got all my holiday purchases in the mail I was like 😐😐😐 haha! I decided to do a mini challenge just to work through some inventory but I’ve really liked making it part of my evening routine. I find for sheet masks it’s easy to just slap one on before bed and fall asleep with it. That’s how I’ve created my me time 🤗 

For both of the collagen ones above, I do find they have a similar, typical, “sheet mask” scent but nothing off putting or bad for sensitive skin. I think with collagen in general it’s mostly just a moisturizing property which, over time, will help with wrinkles and anti aging

Haven't tried those Zodiac sign Crème Shop masks, @scott1201, but I hear nothing but good about them! Looks like a great lineup 🙂

Thanks for your mini review @scott1201 ! I saw the Capricorn masks at Winners but I regret not buying a box ! Stupid me ! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Do you have the Aquarius one? ( at first I thought that they all had the same ingredients but I realized that each sign addresses different skin issues! )

I just checked and I do not have Aquarius @keana1, but I do think I remember seeing it in a TJ Maxx or Marshall. So far my favorite one has been Cancer 🦀. The essence has Melon and Apple which smells so good and is a little different for a sheet mask

The Creme Shop's zodiac line seems so silly and strange, but I just checked out my sign, and now I want to try it....

Right? Zodiac has been really popular recently so I think they jumped on that. It’s such an interesting idea and I think good marketing wise because people will want to collect all the signs. I haven’t been able to try my sign yet but it’s really cool how all the signs are so different, ingredient wise. @snoflakefaerie

Ohhh nice masking @scott1201! I had a bunch of C masks lined up but because I'm trying out new skincare I didn't use them.... I didn't want to overwhelm my skin.

I used the tatcha mask yesterday. was very excited to use this after I received it in boxycharm. the fit was not the best, even though it was a thinner mask. the serum was very silky and milky in color, I'm assuming the texture of the serum is why the mask kept bubbling up in certain spots. not super thrilled to see alcohol in the ingredients, but it is extremely low.I left it on for 20 min, and pat the serum in. my skin was so soft! it lasted all day, just that silky tatcha feeling you get with many of their products. now I will not go and purchase these on my own, I just wasn't that impressed overall. I'd rate this one a B due to the constant struggle with the mask coming up in certain spots and the alcohol

@itsfi yes it was nice ( tbh this was the most exciting item in the whole box this month lol ) but yes, a little disappointing. I really enjoy tatcha products, but I just can't purchase these, I'd rather stick to the SK II

Yes and is with oily skin, it tends to dry is out, which in turn makes our oil production go haywire @byme4u

Your review is appreciated @lmaster ! I wanted to splurge and try this mask but I guess that I’ll pass ! I’m glad that it did moisturize your skin despite the alcohol and weird fit ! Masks that move around are so frustrating!

Thanks for this review, @lmaster! I've been curious about the Tatcha ones, but I'm not loving that price point for something that isn't flat-out amazing.
