Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldnโt change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information weโll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask weโve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we arenโt allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you donโt need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase โ> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

Merry Masking!
Thanks @lmaster! Itโs a good one. ๐๐ผ
@itsfi I've never tried the Belif bubble mask before, but I agree that it's so much better when you can see where you're putting it! I own the Instamud but still haven't tried it yet! I like the sound of it going on purple!
That Naruko mask certainly sounds interesting! It'd be very interesting to know if this does give results over time! Sounds like it did great with just one use! I'm glad you saw some results!๐๐
The purple color on the InstaMud is really helpful to know where the bubbling / foaming is going to take place. I've been impressed with the Naruko sheet masks, @Shosh85; so much so that I might look into some of their non-mask skincare products once I've gone through more of the products in my current stash.
Oh the Naruko mask sounds really interesting and great, @itsfi. I was introduced to the brand with your masking advent calendar and I already have some on my amazon wishlist for future purchase - I think Iโll add this one too!
Sidebar - Iโve been trying to incorporate my neck and chest more into my skincare (I know this is NOT a novel idea, hah) and Iโd love to see more neck masks. Wonder if this is a trend we will start seeing?
Oh PS, @itsfi, where do you buy this brand? They have a small amazon presence so Iโm sure there are better options
@scott1201, I get my Naruko sheet masks directly from the site, narukoboutique(dot)com
They usually have some good deals. Thereโs a pull down menu for โlanguageโ near the top on the left hand corner. Very helpful. The first time I ordered, I missed that feature. LOL! ๐๐
@itsfi this goes as an exception on my low buy ๐ Sounds so lovely. The belif is a favorite of mine, but do share your sentiments re: slight coloring for mask placement. Thank you for reviewing these, will be off to research the Naruko soon ๐
@eshoe, the Naruko sheet mask is wonderful!! ๐ I feel like it hydrates and moisturizes my skin and brightens it too. If you end up picking it up, Iโd love to know what you think about the mask.
I am on the hunt and will be too excited not to share when I find it @itsfi!
Youโre on the hunt to find the mask @eshoe?
Yes and no luck so far @itsfi. Which I suppose is good and bad, as I donโt know about an all-encompassing mask. Iโm very intrigued and terrified at the same time๐คซ Itโs kind of like a secret dare. I donโt want to do it but yet I donโt want to be chicken.
Ah, I see. I completely understand @eshoe. Iโm not a fan of masks that cover my neck and that have ear loops. Amazon has a variety pack of Naruko masks
that includes this brightening one. I donโt think all the masks are designed like this one. Iโm pretty sure I have all of the masks in the variety pack on amazon. If you want to take a look at it and there are a few youโre interested in, let me know and Iโll try them and give you my thoughts so you can see if itโs worthwhile to pick up the set.
Hi @itsfi and @eshoe, great to know Nauko masks can be purchased at Amazon. I had bought a box each in Asia of their tea tree oil, raw Jobs tears and Magnolia sheet masks and I love them all but theyโre so different. This Magnolia mask of course has the ear and chin flaps, creamy essence and the most fragrant. The tea tree oil is a black mask with a medicinal smell and my fave is the raw Jobโs tears - clear essence, slight yeasty smell but my skin seems to always look better the next morning. I was wondering where in the US to get more Naruko masks.
@newcarlee, thank you so much for this info on the other masks. ๐ Iโm even more excited to try the Jobโs tearโs now!! Amazon has been stocking more Naruko lately, some in variety sets which is nice. The Naruko site has a ton of masks to choose from too.
@itsfi That belif mask sounds kind of interesting. I haven't ventured much into foaming masks, but it sounds like it would be a fun way to mix things up!
I'm not too sure how I'd feel about a neck mask. I'm not generally into having things around my neck (even turtlenecks are a bit much for me), but I'm glad you found it to your liking, especially after a bit of trepidation!
@missjeanie, I surprised myself that I was okay with the mask covering my neck. The belif foaming mask is a nice one. Another good one is the GLAMGLOW - INSTAMUD 60 Second Pore-Refining Treatment. It has a purple hue to it so you can see where it will foam up.
Blackberry Berrisom Mask for B week!
Berrisom Blackberry Panda Animal Mask
This is a thin cotton sheet mask that has a panda face on it โ but to me it looks more like a dog. My husband saw me with this on and told me I looked like a skunk and then said not to take it personally. Haha!
The fit was ok โ just a little too long at the forehead and way too long at the chin. This one also has ears, which are always kind of annoying to me because they constantly kept flopping over, causing the mask to peel down a little. Once it started drying a bit, they stayed in one place better. It had a nice light scent, but it's hard to describe, sort of fresh and clean with just a hint of berry. It was drenched with serum with extra in the package as well. The mask was pretty comfortable to wear, but I did feel some slight tingling not long after placing it. I've been very good about checking ingredients first before I buy, but this was one I bought before I started doing that โ alcohol is listed twice, probably about two lines down. I'm thinking the tingling was from the alcohol not playing nice with the REN Glow Tonic I had used right before. It wasn't an intense tingle at all, but it did stay tingly the entire 25 minutes I had it on. I was expecting to see some redness because of all the tingling, but instead my face and complexion looked brighter and clearer. Most of the serum had already absorbed and the little bit that was left wasn't tacky at all. My skin was left feeling SO soft and smooth and surprisingly wasn't too dried out from the alcohol. The package says it's supposed to hydrate and though it didn't leave my face feeling totally dried out, it also didn't leave me with a comfortable hydrated feel and I ended up placing moisturizer on about an hour later. If I were ever to use this mask again, I'd try it without using the Glow Tonic beforehand and see if there's still a tingle. This isn't the worst mask I've ever tried, but it is one I'd most likely not use again. I'd probably give this a C+ grade. There are so many other masks I could use that would give me the same results without the ill fit and tingling.
Aww I think you look cute @Shosh85! Don't listen to your husband!
