Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@Aaliaa  Glad to see you masking and posting!! I've had trouble posting pics and hope the trouble is over!! This looks like great masks!! There are a few that's using the new Glow mask @itsfi is one. I know I'm leaving out someone else. I hope to get it soon! 😊

Thanks @yankeefaithful! I know with sign in issues and then life I just fell out of routine of coming on here and masking to be honest. Glad to be back and can't wait for a new year and some new challenges!

I just got in more J.One goodies and really wanted to try the Black Jelly Pack because I love a good overnight mask especially if it’s for nourishing and glowing skin. It did not disappoint. It isn’t a clear jelly like the regular jelly pack but has a slight gray clear color to it. It didn’t stain anything so not to worry about the color if some people are concerned. It did also feel like it was firming my skin and I did use a Jade roller to melt everything in. I woke up with hydrated and glowy skin which I loved so I will definitely be masking more. I think I found my 2 go to mask which is the Black Jelly Pack and the Glow Recipe Avocado Melt. I didn’t combine all 4 products last night but did use the Red Jelly Pack for the first time and the Jelly Cream with the Black Jelly Pack.

@SportyGirly125 I recently bought the Red Pack and have been really liking it as a primer, it works great! I haven't used it as a mask yet, do you just use it as an overnight mask?

@makeitup305 I like to layer the products on. I use the red one before I apply my Jelly Cream and the black one as the last step at night.

Oh wow @SportyGirly125 you layer all 3? Interesting. I might try layering the red before my moisturizer at night. If you haven’t tried the red as a primer, give it a shot, it’s been working great for me.

@makeitup305 I tried using the J.One Jelly Pack as a primer alone but it was too tacky for me so I added a little YSL Touché Eclat Blur Primer and I liked the results a lot better.

@SportyGirly125 glad you (kinda) liked it. I feel like the tackiness helps grip the makeup and help it wear down evenly. Mixing in a pore primer is a good idea! I might have to try that too.

Oh, you picked up all 3 of the J.One Jelly Packs @SportyGirly125?!! I’ve only tried the white and black packs and my preference was for the black one. I really like the J.One Jelly Cream; it was one of the moisturizers that got my dehydrated-dry skin through the winter last year.

@itsfi I actually already had the white one and the cream but decided to pick up the red and black one to try.  I love the white one (I think it's my third bottle and I need to place another order for it).

I've never heard of this brand, @SportyGirly125, very cool! Also, that you used a jade roller over your mask. I haven't picked one of those up (yet!), just seeing what others think about them first.

@itsfi some things with alcohol high on the list, for me, will usually cause oil overload. but I'd still use it too 😂 the acai hair mask sounds wonderful, I really loved the coconut hair mask you sent me ❤️

@lmaster, yeah, I’m a little wary of alcohol being so high on the ingredients list but my skin has not had any negative reaction to it.  I’ll see how it holds up for the next couple of days. I am really intrigued by and like the material of the mask.

The hair mask was nice @byme4u. Im not sure about the brightening or color protecting traits, but my hair felt soft the next morning after rinsing it out. 😃 Of the 4 different varieties in the Sephora hair mask range, my favorite is still the coconut one.

That brand name is adorable, @itsfi! A triple layer bio cellulose mask is very interesting. The Farmacy ones seem fairly thin, and the When ones seem much thicker. Would you say its close to the latter? I wonder if the alcohol is there to preserve the mask itself...

@eshoe, the material definitely felt closer to the When mask. At first I thought it was a thin but somewhat dense (yet still light) masks that felt somewhat like a cotton mask in terms of its softness but different than what I associate with a traditional cotton sheet mask. I was happy (and surprised) to learn it was a triple layered biocellulose mask but that actually makes sense when I think about it - it has a feel similar to biocellulose masks but more dense (because of the 3 layers).
