Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

This is a nice mask @rockstargina! I used it yesterday; I like that the clay mask does a good job of clearing out the gunk in my pores but does so without drying out my skin. 🙂

After Manila, a missed international flight, 6 hours at home, and a long weekend in NYC, I’m back! (At least until I fly home for thanksgiving 🍁🍗🥧🍷)

Miraculously, my skin didn’t breakout one bit during all my recent travel. So, just to play it safe, I’m being cautious with my products for the rest of the week. Last night I FINALLY used up the last bit of my GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD® Activated Charcoal Treatmentand followed up with the CLINIQUE Moisture Surge™ Overnight Face Mask 3.4 oz/ 100 mL. The Glamglow is fine, albeit overpriced for what it does. It did feel nice to get some pore cleaning action, though! The Clinique is a recent GWP that I LOVE ❤️! The consistency is very creamy and it sinks right into the skin without residue. I don’t even wash this off! It leaves my skin so happy and definitely helped calm it after the crazy cold and wind we have been having in TX. <DIV class="lia-spoiler-noscript-content">Miraculously, my skin didn’t breakout one bit during all my recent travel. I like the GlamGlow SuperMud as a spot treatment or using it on my nose every so often so clear out the pores. I haven’t tried the Clinique overnight mask yet but it sounds like a nice wintertime mask!

Tuesday masking included one of my favorite scents: department store beauty section!Clarins, Shiseido and (unscented) DE

When I need a soothing, comforting scent that evokes a pleasant feeling, a little Shiseido and Clarins work perfectly together😊. The Clarins SOS Comfort Nourishing Balm Mask 2.3 oz/ 75 mL is a mask I reach for weekly; always left on much longer than the suggested 10 minutes. It has that familiar Clarins scent, which lasts the entire making session, and which I love. It’s the scent of excitement and the anticipation of what’s new at the beauty counter! This is the first time I’ve used it as a morning mask, but my skin needed an extra bit of TLC and this was a good fit.

The Shiseido White Lucent Power Brightening Mask 6 x 0.91 oz Sheets/ 6 x 26 mL Sheetsalso has a lovely scent similar to other skincare products by this brand; I wish I could describe it better. It’s a bit perfumey, and reminds me of the many stops at their counter I would mke in my way out of the store. One things I absolutely love about this mask is how the nose is cut. It drapes across rather than molds down into sides of the nose, and it very, very comfortable. It’s a thicker cotton but not stiff at all, with a near perfect fit to my face. I left it on 25 minutes; if I didn’t have to be somewhere, I would have left it on much longer as it didn’t dry down. After removing, my skin was incredibly smooth and hydrated, maybe a tad brighter, but not enough to really notice. What I did see was an slight evening of my skin tone. It did not leave my skin tacky, and I was able to finish my skincare and apply makeup without a hitch. This is more of a special occasion mask for me than anything else, due to its price. Laneige, SNP, and Farmacy

This was my first time using the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 3.4 oz/ 100 mL, and I fell in love, which is probably no surprise as it seems it has gets a lot of positive attention. I intended to use the Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser as. Mild exfoliant, but ended up leaving the Farmacy on for around 20 minutes and skipped the Tata. I really like using these balms for double duty, cleansing and masking. The scent reminded me of the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C Originalin Apple Lime.

The SNP Fruits Gelato Brightening Mask is a lightweight mask that was a challenge to unfold but well worth it. It also fit nicely though I needed to snip around the eye area to be comfortable. The scent was light, not so much noticeable citrus but not clean laundry. I left it on around 20 minutes, then removed and took a look at my skin.

I don’t expect much from my skin at the end of the day, but this made such a difference I had to keep checking the mirror. It really did give an illuminating appearance to my face, smoothing my skin as well as a real brightening. When I need an AM pick-me-up mask before I need to be somewhere, this is the mask I want in my stash. I will be trying it out again, as it’s important to me not make make judgements in a sole masking experience, but I was pretty amazed by the way this made my face light up. Once I try it again, I will update. @rockstargina thank you! I don’t give a lot of thought to masks that claim to brighten and tighten and all that jazz. The SNP really surprised me, and for the price I think it gave far better brightening results than the more expensive option I tried!
