Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

That was clever to use the Hello, Calm mask on your U-zone, you’ve always got great masking ideas @itsfi! I can see my skin liking that as well. With all of these I hope you’re skin is doing okay, it can be so difficult to keep up with hydration during these cold months!

Thank you @bakeamuffin! 🤗  I’m slowly learning how to tailor masks to their purpose and my skin’s needs, which can change depending on the season or just because!! 😳 Good word on using different masks! I been better at checking the ingredients list for things that are potential triggers for my skin. 🧐 Fortunately my skin tends to do well with masks geared towards hydration. Anti-aging or vitamin C masks on the other hand are the ones I have to be even more mindful of the ingredients list.

Ugh still waiting for the Hello, calm mask to show up in Canada. I'm getting more and more frustrated with the lack of response as to why it's not up for sale yet.  That Boscia one seems interesting... Thanks for the review @itsfi

What?! That’s really frustrating @veronika23. It would be nice to at least get an ETA on when it might be available. I’m so sorry to hear how long it has been taking and the lack of info available.

It's so aptly named too, @Kim888!  The scent is herbal without being medicinal - it's calming and relaxing. 😉

Still growing my mask collection so a little hard to do the weekly challenges but I like to share my masking adventures anyways 🙂

Definitely needed some eye depuffing last night so tried out this sample ERNO LASZLO - Multi-Task Eye Serum MaskI Really liked this one as it adhered well and has a nice cooling sensation. It wasn’t overly soaked and my eye area absorbed the serum very well. Not much left to pat in. I did notice help on the puffiness and would def like to get more of these to try/use. Also, I can use extra hydration for my face right now with all the dryness and I’ve really been liking overnight masks so thought I’d use this one again LANEIGE - Water Sleeping Mask
It leaves my face nice and soft and hydrated in the am. Soaks up nicely and doesn’t leave it sticky at night. And of course (not pictured) my nightly LANEIGE - Kiss and Make Up Setlip sleep mask in Vanilla.

Nice masking!  I finally got my hands on a sample of the Laneige sleeping mask and am loving it so far. It’s going to be hard to resist adding it to my cart with the sale (I already have a few sleeping masks and they they to last forever).

Nice masking @GalPalVal17! That Laneige Sleeping mask is so amazing, I find it really helps to calm my skin. I’m glad you had a good experience with it! ☺️ 

Was the Vanilla lip mask your favourite out of them all? I was curious about it, and the Apple lip mask, but never got to try them before it went OOS! It sounds very nice!

@bakeamuffin Yes, the Vanilla is my favorite. I like to switch between the "flavors" but have yet to try the grapefruit one. Love these lip masks. Have totally help with the dry lips. I give hunny a kiss goodnight after I apply the mask so he gets the benefits of the mask too. Gotta keep his lips moisturized too 😉

Love this masking adventure @GalPalVal17!  Great mask choices as you are growing your collection!  The Laneige sleeping mask and the lip sleeping mask are two favorites. I bet that vanilla one smells sooo good!

You’ve got an awesome start to your collection, @GalPalVal17! That Laneige lip mask set was one of my favorite purchases, I use it daily. Do you use any facial oils at night? They help my very dry skin, and @@keana1 gave me the best tip, apply them over (not under) your sleeping mask. I did the opposite, and it inhibited the absorption of the sleeping mask, oops! See, we are all learning😊

@eshoe I don't use any oils on my face at night. I don't typically have dry skin but it does change with the weather. So, right now with the cold and dryness, my skin has been feeling dry. Summer, I get a lil oily but I typically have normal to combination skin. I wouldn't even know where to start with the oils. Would love any recommendations. Sounds like something I would love to try.

If you don’t have dry skin, @GalPalVal17, I wouldn’t concern myself with oils if I were you. I didn’t until my skin changed. Only add them if you need to, otherwise you are likely just spending money on something you don’t really need 😉 if you are interested in trying one, I would highly suggest Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury  Face Oil 1 oz/ 30 mL. They have a mini as well that you can buy to see how it works for you. But until you really need it, yay for normal/combo skin, it usually evens itself out😊

Not part of this week’s challenge, but my early afternoon masking (probably should have used during forgotten favorites). I remember when this first came out how excited I was to try it. I love how my skin looks after using this.
