Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Congratulations on your 4th anniversary, @rockstargina! I have to tell you when I saw the boscia mask, I shuddered at my own memories of it. It was painful, had a scent like 409, and was a one-shot wonder lol. Never again for me. I'm happy to hear that you liked it, I've only tried one other peel-off mask since (Leader's Labotica) and while I can tolerate it, it's still a little nerve-wrecking at the beginning 🙂

And lol about the scent. I have a fairly weak sense of smell, so I didn’t notice anything about this one. This was way less painful then they Hey Honey peel off mask I tried recently (I may have shed a tear or two). I may just revert back to old favorite - the FAB red clay peel off mask. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am pretty sure @SchylarR tried that mask, @rockstargina-and it sounded torturous! You poor thing😭 from her review it sounded quite awful.

Yea the hey honey was brutal and I didn’t notice any positive differences in my skin afterwards. So not worth it!

@itsfi These both sound great! It's always nice when a forgotten wonder surprises you! 

I love the sound of plump, bright and hydrated skin! The thin masks are seriously my favorite! 

I'm with you – I wouldn't even try to fall asleep with a mask on, mostly because my insomnia is so bad I can never fall asleep if anything is attached to my head or face in any way. 🤷‍♀️

I’m glad that you found your lost treasure @itsfi ! It’s funny that you don’t want to fall asleep with a sheet mask on ! I usually fall asleep with one on my face LOL 😂! I’m the weird one here ! This mask sounds great and must also have a lovely smell!

@keana1, you're not weird!  I think a lot of people fall asleep with a sheet mask on and are perfectly fine with it.

The sheet mask does smell lovely; the scent is stronger than most sheet masks so those with sensitivity to lingering or stronger scents might want to pass on this one.

The name totally cracks me up, @itsfi. It sounds like quite a nice mask! I don't think I've tree anything by that brand yet. Though it seems familiar, most likely from one of your reviews awhile back (which if I remember correctly, was a good one as well).

You also gave me a great idea, in thinking about next year and carrying on the masking challenge. It would be fun to have one night a week be a 'forgotten wonder' masking night!

@eshoe, Missha has a nice (and popular) first treatment essence. I saw they made sheet masks and well, I’m sure you can imagine how quickly that got my attention. LOL! 😝 

Oh, so would you plan to use a “forgotten wonder” once a week? That’s a good way of going through your stash. Hmmmm...🤔  I need to start thinking about what my masking regimen will look like in 2019.

@itsfi, I counted my masks today and if I use one per day, not including Facetory each month, I have enough to last me through May😆 I do have quite a few ‘unloved’ masks, and am really motivated by the challenge this week (and the past two week’s sales, ahem) to make use of what I have until then. I think I will keep a spreadsheet of all the great masks that others discover, and reward myself with a fresh supply at the end of my personal challenge. The sub will provide my masking excitement in the meantime😉

Wow @eshoe ! Enough masks to last through May 😳 if you use one sheet mask per day!!! Where do you store them all ? Gosh, I’d need to rent a storage unit, mind you my condo is a only a 4 1/2 ! I’ll seriously have to find some place to store my foils and sheet masks, it’s getting crowded here and I live alone with my fur baby!
