Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@itsfi Plumped, hydrated and brightened sounds like my kind of mask!! I like the name of the mask too😉 and the list of ingredients is impressive! I still need to explore more Peach & Lily Masks!! It seems a lot of them have been turning out great!!

I probably will always have possession of ThirstyMud! This stuff is something I don't want to run out of! 🥥😍

@Shosh85, Peach & Lily has been doing a good job with the sheet masks they've put out. Not all are loves but they've all been, at the very least, okay masks - I don't recall having any issues with any of them in terms of breaking out, etc. They introduced a line of skincare earlier this year, carried on her site and through Ulta that contains a serum I've been interested in trying. It's been OOS for some time but I placed an order for it when I saw it in someone's haul! They have a resurfacing wash off mask as well that contains AHAs/BHAs. I thought about it but ultimately elected to pass, at least for now, as I have a handful of masks that I like that have alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy acids in them.

@itsfi  This sounds like great masking!!  The sheet mask sounds like it was named for me except chubby cheeks that need lifting!! No, this one sounds great because of the ingredients, fit and that it was thin!! All of these makes it one I need to try!! I have never tried the Glamglow mask either. Both will go on list to try!! Thanks for sharing!!😊

@yankeefaithful, the GlamGlow is really nice but it is scented so if that’s something you prefer to avoid or are sensitive to, you might want to skip it. If you decide to give it a try, I’d recommend getting a sample from the store or the mini version. The full size is quite large and pricey.

I love the Thirstymud so much - not only does it make my skin happy, the fragrance is like a mini vacation, haha!

Yes!!! The scent is amazing, isn't it @Alphaboo?! A mini vacation is a great way to describe it - a relaxing tropical vacation. Niiiiiice!  🙂

@itsfi I also used the same Glamglow mask yesterday afternoon 💙 the peach and Lily mask sounds great!! all about some plumping!

@makeitup305, I was surprised that the mask contained all those (and other) ingredients. Not sure how much of each ingredient is in the mask but they're all in and my skin seems to like the combination of ingredients! 🙂

They're a lot of good ones packed in that mask, right @eshoe?! While I had the mask on, I did some research on some of the skincare benefits of the ingredients I was not familiar with. 🙂

😭 I dont know what masks to use. My nose is peeling. My chin is broken out. And the rest of my face is dry. Help!!!! Here are some of my options: Ren Lactic, Fresh Black Tea (not the over night one), PTR pumpkin, Farmacy Honey, Fresh Rose, PTR Aloe, Fresh Youth Preserve, Perricone MD Cocoa, DE Baby Facial. Whats obviously clear to me is that I need more masks.

@GG84, oh no!!!  I would go for one of the following:

Option 1: Ren Glycol Lactic Mask followed by Farmacy Honey; or

Option 2: DE Babyfacial across your chin; then Fresh Rose all over and after removing the Fresh Rose mask, use the PTR Aloe as an overnight/sleeping mask.
