Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options

I'm so happy to see your review @keana1 I literally just got a packet form of the same peel off mask! I also just started experimenting with the buffet. I didn't know it was good to apply that before a mask. what are the benefits of applying it before a mask? how long did you wait in between products?

The reason why I put Buffet before the Freeman peel-off mask is that a peel-off mask creates an occlusive barrier so that the serum can penetrate even better into the skin. I applied the peel-off mask 10 minutes after the Buffet . I’m sure that you will notice the benefits @lmaster . I did apply a thick layer of the Freeman mask, this might be the reason it was so easy to peel off!

I am so enamored with the Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm as a mask. I can’t think of a better one right now that soothes my skin, smells amazing, and leaves my face soooo soft. I left it on for at least an hour tonight. Did not want to remove it, and when I did, questioned why I was bothering with a sheet mask as my skin was already silky smooth and hydrated.

I went for the Gamdong Karatica Gold Duck Egg Foil Mask, which made me look about as C3-PO as you could imagine. The ear flaps (what were they...why am I hydrating my ears?) were a bit bothersome but otherwise this 2-part mask was ok. My skin looked plumped afterwards but felt a bit dry, which is why I decided to sneak in my DE/Jurlique blend with another swipe of my Herbivore. I refrained from a big purchase for the FFS, buying only the DRUNK ELEPHANT - Rescue Party™ Kit. I’ve been using DE La La samples for close to a year now, and its just the perfect nighttime blend for my dry skin. Very excited to try some new recipes!

So many great skincare items @eshoe!😊 Lol about the ear flaps! I think they’re meant to keep the mask from sliding down but I don’t find them to be very useful. I don’t want wet ear lobes after a masking session and I’m not sure my ears need the extra hydration either. 🤣

I almost got this DE set during the FFS but I got something else instead! I’m going to wait until the November sale @eshoe ! I’m just starting my third DE Protini cream and I have the Marula oil so I can mix both together when I need extra hydration! I also have squalane if my skin is unbearably dry ! Sounds like you had a great masking session!

@Kim888 I’ve tried a few different products of theirs and the scents were strong deterrents for most. Many had a very medicinal aroma and it was too much for me. The essence didn’t, but I couldn’t tell whether or not it was doing anything, as with most essences imo.

This is the first one that feels like it’s doing something for my skin AND it has a subtle coffee-like scent. Plus it’s gentle on my skin👍🏼

The thermal cleansing balm as a mask sounds so nice, what a great idea to use it like that!

just received this today as a "sample" in boxycharm. interesting I'll say, definitely not one I'd purchase again,, ever ummm ok, so it's a tube of charcoal mask, then it comes with two black lace masks to press over it. ikr... so it said to avoid hairline, eyebrows, eyes and place where needed. I put it on the Tzone then put the lace mask on, it fit good, but it's just weird to me lol.i left it on for 13 min and it hurt so bad when taking the lace mask off, it was almost unbearable. I feel like it took layers of skin off.( it hurt that bad) just a no for me!

@lmaster Yikes! I associate "compression" with compression stockings...which if you havent had the pleasure of wearing squeeze your legs really tight. I had lymphedema in my legs after chemo and had to wear them. I cant imagine that feeling on my face...you're a brave soul 😄

Was the purpose of the lace to pull off the charcoal?

that's my guess bc there's no way around that, @GG84 it wasn't uncomfortable on with the compression lace lol but pulling it off was just torture

This does not sounds pleasant @lmaster, I’m sorry it was painful to remove 😞 This definitely sounds like one to avoid! I hope your skin isn’t too irritated or sore after that one!
