Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

Merry Masking!
Yes!!! The foot mask is very nice. I’ve learned from others here so many different ways to use them - sleeping in them, putting socks on over them so you can do other things or just putting your feet up and relaxing for the time you have them on. 😁 I’d love to hear your thoughts on the foot mask. Let us know what you think of them after you’ve tried them!
I also missed the post about combining the Framboos and Protini. I confess that I prefer Sunday Riley Good Genes to the Framboos because I find the Framboos to be rather sticky and I wonder if mixing it with the Protini (which I really like, along with the Lala) would help mitigate that.
Oooh I hadn’t heard of using those 2 DE products as a mask, @itsfi. Just happened to pick up samples of both on my last trip to Sephora so I might try this as well based on your final thoughts here.
Such a a good idea to nap with those masks on, was probably just the right amount of time (and not too much) to soften and hydrate your skin after the trip☺️
The DE Framboos + Protini combination was a nice one. My skin looks and feels soft and plump this morning. I didn't feel any tingling when I applied the DE products but I don't usually experience tingling when I apply the Framboos alone, even though it contains AHA/BHAs in it. Are you taking a break from exfoliating products to give your skin a breather? If you are, you probably want hold off on trying this "mask" since the Framboos contains 12% AHA (glycolic, lactic and citric acids) and 1% BHA (salicylic acid).
@itsfi This combination sounds interesting! I only could use these as a mask for 20 minutes since I can’t use salicylic acid overnight. If I use a BHA for a lengthy amount of time my face swells up and it’s not pretty 😳!
Hmm, yes I may wait on this combo then, @itsfi. I’ve been very slowly introducing it back in to my routine (1 chemical and one physical in the past couple of weeks). Glad to hear it works well, though-will keep it in mind👍🏼
I trust @bakeamuffin's insights on all things Drunk Elephant. 🙂 She uses a DE comb of Framboos and the Marula Oil. At her recommendation, I tried it and it works really well. I'm thinking about incorporating that combination in my routine a little more regularly this winter, maybe earlier depending on when my skin will start veering toward the more dry side. I know it's dry almost year round for you so the Framboos-and-Marula-Oil might be a nice combo to give you some exfoliation and hydration!
@itsfi ❤️❤️
I seriously love the Framboos/Marula combo you guys! My dry skin is hardly ever flaky anymore, my skin looks radiant and smooth, and my acne has been so much better other than the occasional hormonal breakout. I’m so happy to hear that this combo is working well for your skin too Fi ☺️ Definitely give it a try if you have the chance to @eshoe!
Thank you so much, @bakeamuffin! I will try this combo out soon, wouldn’t have thought to blend the two together as I’m not well-versed on the DE line so many thanks🙌🏼😊
I finished last week’s BIC Made Me Do It using a mask from a sub I heard about from @KrishAtlI’ve discovered so many masks I 💗 from it, so a big thanks to her😊.
Today I started the morning with the Sephora Pearl Eye Gels, made of bio-cellulose material, and a 23 Years mask which promised to help my dry skin problems.
Tonight’s masking included a new foil peel-off mask combined with a Sephora green clay purifying mask.
@eshoe Great group of masks! Each one looks so lovely!!
Thank you, @lmaster! I have pretty dry skin so am pretty consistent with my masking😊
Great multi-masking and love the info in your reviews! That Labotica mask sounds interesting. Hmmm....
Ohhh, that 23 Years Mask sounds very similar to the one I think @Shosh85 used a while back - it looked like the mask swallowed her because it covered her mouth and the openings for the eyes and nose were not very large at all.
@itsfi @eshoe Yup the Cocoon 23 Years mask was the very first mask I tried! It definitely swallowed my face, especially without a mouth hole! I just figured I got an old/bad one! 👍 I guess that's the "cocoon" part of it! Haha!
I posted myself in the mask, even though it was nightmare-ish because I just thought it was too funny! If wasn't so hard to look back and find things I'd try and find that post!
I don’t think I would have continued masking if this was my first one, @Shosh85😂 it was seriously scary!!! And a little claustrophobic! Yikes...yeah I’ve tried searching the threads before and I always come up with results that make me go 🤔???
Oh no, first the werewolf mask and now the Hannibal Lector one!!! 😄😀😄😀 How long did you keep this on?!?!
@yankeefaithful Haha! Yup! I had it on for the full recommended amount of time! 😂 It was my first mask and I was following the directions! Haha! 🤪
Wow, I would have been tearing that thing off so fast!!! Well, maybe I should try it because at least you can't eat with that one on!!😉
