Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

The Panda looks cute but it’s too bad that it was not comfortable on your skin! It’s so weird that it was tingling like that when it was supposed to be moisturizing! Does it contain exfoliating ingredients @Shosh85?

Thank you, @bakeamuffin! I was actually just looking over the ingredient list. @itsfi suggested maybe the Cinnamomum Camphora (Camphor) Leaf Extract being a possible culprit, and it seems that is really the only thing that stands out from the rest. I’m going to try to compare this ingredient list with some other masks I liked and see if anything else stands out! 🤔👍

@Shosh85,  I am so sorry to hear that the mask feels like it's burning!  I've only tried the lamb (brightening) mask from that line - it did not burn.

@itsfi I almost got that one– I think I still might try that one out sometime! Besides some Glam Glow masks, I’ve never experienced that burning sensation with any other mask. Oh well, at least I got some good results! 👌

I'm amazed you kept it on for as long as you did @Shosh85!  I wonder what it was in the mask that cause that.  I had to look up the ingredients; perhaps it's the camphor - Cinnamomum Camphora (Camphor) Leaf Extract?

And now we know that you don't enjoy masks that give off a burning feeling, Shosh85 - lol!  I would have assumed as much but good to have it confirmed. Thannks for going through this so we know. ha! 😉

Thank you, @itsfi!! If it had started burning right away, I would’ve taken it off sooner. At first it was just a bit tingly, so I thought maybe that’s just what it’s supposed to do.

Im not too good at deciphering ingredients, but I feel like the Camphor is a good guess. I’m thinking maybe I should try comparing the ingredients from this one with some of the other masks I know worked well, and see if anything stands out. 🤔

Yesterday I paired 2 masks by the same brand, peach slices: ‘firming’ for the A.M. and ‘hydrating’ for the P.M.; now I am on the waitlist for the set.peach slices firm and hydrate

The firming mask, with pomegranate and honey, had a faint vanilla cake scent. This was the first for a sheet mask for me. The fit was very good, easy to apply and return to my morning routine quickly. There was plenty of extra serum, which I used throughout the 20 minutes as it dried down fairly quickly. The scent was so unexpected! It was a fun way to start my day. I was very curious what the hydrating mask would be like.

When I opened it, there was a scent I could not place. It reminded me of being in the kitchen, and after reading the front (I really need to start reading these prior to opening) it made sense-thyme! It wore off fairly quickly, but unlike the morning mask, I did not need to reapply serum while wearing it. The fit also matched the morning mask, it was quick and easy to apply, and left my skin nice and plump😊. The hydration mask left my skin a bit tackier than the firming one, but that didn’t bother me too much. I began my search for it online before I removed it, as @itsfi sent both of these my way and they are very enjoyable masks. Looking forward to trying the others when they are in stock again!

@eshoe, you can also find the warming masks (non-sheet masks) that @mermadelove has used and raved about on this thread. I picked up a couple of them. There's also a nice selection online of other non-sheet mask K-beauty products too!
