Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

I switched things up a little yesterday (Thursday) with the Saborino Mixed Berries Moisturizing Morning Mask.  While it was Day 4 of the morning mask, I thought I’d give it a try in the evening instead.  There are plenty of times when I’m either too tired or too lazy in the evenings to go through an entire masking routine, so I figured why not?! Let’s see how this ‘morning mask’ holds up through the night.  I double cleansed, then used the morning mask and before calling it a night, applied a sleeping mask.  Woke up this morning with soft, supple, clear skin. 

Since I had planned on using the morning mask for my evening routine last night, Thursday’s morning masking involved the Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask applied to just my T-zone followed by The Crème Shop Rose Water Infused Sheet Mask, which was a gift from the fabulous @bakeamuffin(thank you!).   

There’s a scent to this sheet mask and while it did not smell like rose water to me, I’m not sure what I would liken it to.  The mask itself is made of cotton and in terms of weight or thickness, it’s your average sheet mask.  Directions say to leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes; I probably left it on for 30 and I’d say that was about the right amount of time for my dehydrated, combo skin. When I removed the mask, there was just a little bit of essence on my face to be patted in.  Once absorbed, my skin looked and felt hydrated and it seemed like it had a slight, dewy glow to it as well.  🙂

Yes for glowing skin, I second that, @itsfi! I have this one in my stash and haven't tried it. Was really hoping for an overpowering rose scent but I will re-set my expectations lol 🙂

Great review, @itsfi!!  The berry mask is really sounding great– it’s good to hear your skin woke up happy!

I really enjoyed the Rose mask – so happy you liked it too! I don’t recall much about the scent– I think I remember it being pretty light, though.

We are excited to begin testing ourMasking Challenge Survey! Our goal is to ultimately to have a searchable spreadsheet to view each other’s critiques. This will be a separate link, but we need to test it out first to see how it imports data, so that when it is live, it is accurate and reliable. There are 3 short sections, with an option for a detailed review at the end. Yep, @scott1201, that is an easy switch-I will test that out this morning. I used to work near N Anthropologie and would go there on my lunch break. I usually found some great things on  clearance there-I miss it!

Yeah, pretty much just walking into the store was therapeutic for me! Years later I STILL regret not buying this butterfly crewel rug that I loved there. Ugh!!!

Absolutely, it’s not replacing them. I love the daily interactions on this BIC thread. My reasoning for the spreadsheet was just for reference and research purposes. It should only take 1-2 minutes and I would copy-paste detailed reviews from here and you can leave it blank if you want. In the beginning it will be some work to update but we would only need to do it once per mask.  @eshoe @itsfi

Thank you, @itsfi! Yes, I would say it’s best to post here, too, while this is in trial mode. I am thinking of just copying and pasting my detailed review for here. I think (correct me if I am incorrect, @Aaliaa) we are just trying to make it possible to search for specific masks/reviews that others here have tried.
