Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@bakeamuffin  Sephora has 2 lip sheet masks in its collection. I just went to check and both are available in Canada. The Sephora Collection ones are thinner and not as large - they are like the texture of a bio cellulose sheet mask - but for your lips. 👄   I'm going to try to post screenshots for you.

I absolutely love honey products as well- they always feel so great on my skin!

That Fresh mask sounds awesome, but $150 is a little steep for me! The most I usually ever spend on a single mask is $10 and that still seems like a lot to me!! I guess if your face gets magical results, it’s worth it!

Ive tried a lip mask once, by a different brand, and I had soooo much trouble keeping it on! This one sounds like it would be much better! 😉

Well, I did discover The Creme Shop in 2017, so I’m actually following the schedule this time!! Haha!

Between my busier schedule and the kids’ new schedule I’ve been a little behind with posting! Here are the masks I tried yesterday:👇

 In the AM I tried The Creme Shop Raspberry Yogurt Fusion Sheet mask.

 This one had a great fit, perfect amount of serum and smelled like raspberries and cream 😋

I left this on for about 20 min and felt some very slight tingling. When removed, my face was soft, smooth and definitely brighter! My face felt hydrated at first, but didn’t last too long (which is what I would expect since it didn’t really say it was supposed to hydrate)

 In the PM I tried the Roses are Red Violets are Blue Fusion Mask.

This also had a great fit and perfect amount of serum and smelled like roses 🌹 I’m usually a little sensitive to floral scents especially, but this didn’t seem to bother me.

This one was great to use after a day in the sun - it felt instantly soothing and calming.

I left this on for about 20 min as well. When removed my face was brighter, softer and most of the redness I had was gone. The hydration lasted a while too, but not quite as long as some other hydration masks I’ve tried. 

I would definitely repurchase both of these again. 👌👍

@Shosh85 raspberry and cream 😍😍 Laneige had a Yogurt face mask that smelled like creamy raspberry and it was heavenly 💕 that mask sounds like it would smell and feel super nice! 😊 great masking choices 😄

@Shosh85@bakeamuffin  The peaches 'n cream mask smells good!  It was the first sheet mask from The Creme Shop that I tried.  I purchased 2 of those mask and still have the 2nd one.  I'm not entirely sure why I'm hoarding it though - it's not like it was my last purchase from The Creme Shop - ha! 😉

There both looks really nice @Shosh85.  Do you notice any difference with the '2 in 1' masks, or the dual benefit claim just a gimmick?

@RachFace2921 I doubted these at first  too, but most of The Creme Shop masks I’ve tried have actually done what it says it’s supposed to do! I’ve especially had good luck with these Fusion ones! 👍

Thanks for the great reviews @Shosh85! 🙂  I have both of these masks but have yet to use them, so super helpful to have your reviews - I would never have thought of using the roses-and-violet duo after a day in the sun!   I love reading the facts The Creme Shop includes on the back of the masks about "super power" of the star ingredient in the mask!

I didn’t expect this to be an “after the sun mask” either, but then I read the ”super powers” and thought id try it 😉👌

For some reason the scent didn’t bother me but If you’re sensitive to floral I wouldn’t be surprised if it bothered you.

Tomorrow is officially the last week of the 'Masking Challenge' before we start again. I'm thinking of trying to merge favourite masks of the challenge with daily masking to prep our skins for Canada Day/4th of July.
